My husband and I frequent this applebees quit often it is a nice atmosphere and the food is ok the drinks are fabulous we usually sit at the bar and Ryan is one of the best bartenders we have witnessed in Tucson. But last night we had quests in town so decided to sit at a table so we could catch up on the past few months. We had a very nice young waitress she was very attentive, I have to admit I don’t remember her name but wish I did, with that said I have to say I was quit appalled that one of the other female servers(an older Hispanic woman) which here again we did not get her name and I wish I had because I would name her by name on here to shame her if we had. She was blatantly verbally attacking our server. We could tell that our server was very disturbed by this woman’s actions and could also tell she was trying to stay away from her. All I have to say is if this if this is how applebees allows there staff to treat each other then SHAMEONAPPLEBEES. This was a sure sign of bullying in the work place and should not be allowed to happen. Especially if the customers can hear it happening. We will have to rethink going back to applebees. Whoever the manager was or is of this restaurant should be ashamed to have this bullying Hispanic women on there staff applebees portray to be a neighborhood family retuarant. Well I tell you this if our children were younger and still here in Tucson we would not bring them to this applebees because we would not want them to witness such bullying happening in a work place.

I have been to this location multiple times and it has always been in a good experience for me, and today was no different. Me and my two guests were seated very quickly, got out drinks, and took our food order taken in about 10 min(one guest was indecisive). My food was great as always, only real thing wrong was one guest got cheesy bacon potatoes, and there was no cheese on it. She is to shy to complain so just decided to eat them. All in all though it was a good experience, and I will be back.

Our server was above average, the only good thing was my Cosmo. Spent $ 67.00 on a meal that was below average at best. My vegetables were cold and hard. Sent them back. My steak was over cooked and the shrimp rubbery. My husbands Mac n cheese was ice cold and where was the cheese? Manager was indignant towards our complaints. She acted as tho we were putting her out. Will NEVER eat there again. I feel bad for our server who constantly apologized for the food.

I have seen some changes recently. The managers seem more involved and do roam about the restaurant. I don’t hear many people complaining about the food as I have heard in the past. However, it does bother me to see people write complaints about the food. One thing that Applebee’s had always done well and continues to improve on, is the customer experience. If there is something wrong with your food, then open your mouth and tell someone. Tell your server or ask to see a manager. Give them at least one chance to make it right before you go off on them with a bad review. Nothing is perfect and mistakes are made everywhere. We are humans and we will always make mistakes. If you don’t like it and they can’t fix it to your liking, then order something else, or go somewhere else. But at least give them a chance. I prefer to sit at the bar because the service is faster and the bartender(your server) is right there all the time. Now don’t read too much into it. There are a lot of great people that work here and I am sure the service at the tables is just as good. The bar is my preference. The one major improvement that is needed, has not been addressed nor do I see it ever changing. The bartenders #1 responsibility is the guests at the bar. On most Friday and Saturday nights, there are so many drink orders that it is next to impossible for one person to handle. The bartenders do a great job trying to keep up, but it is often like trying to push a boulder up a hill. For as long as I have been going to Applebee’s restaurants across the country, these busy times required two employees behind the bar. The volume on these nights has never changed, but this practice did. You have some wonderful and very hard working people here and if this keeps up, you are going to lose that. I have said it before and I will say it again. RMH has and continues to destroy the Applebee’s brand and reputation. They have taken away all the sports packages from the satellite service, so you can’t watch much more than what you can get at home with a basic service. Adding all these additional charges for dipping sauces and other ridiculous«extra» charges is just another way to show that RMH only cares about money. If I order 5,10 or even 25 wings, you should give me all the blue cheese or ranch that I want. RMH needs to step up and do what is best for the customers AND the employees instead of spending all their time pinching pennies so they can show a bigger profit and take longer vacations. They are lucky to get my money and they should show some appreciation for it. Your servers and bartenders make more money off me in tips then you do from the food and they ALWAYS show me their appreciation. You should learn from them. One of the ways you can improve this would be to get on here and address the complaints posted by your customers. That is what any good business would do, and does do frequently. Try and earn more than 3 star reviews. It is in your best interest.

This place has really improved. Cleaner and faster. Check out the great happy hour. See Chuck the server or Heather or Sarahi at the bar. Fantastic personalized service!

Let me start by saying that I’ve never been a huge fan of Applebees due to their mediocracy across the board. I’ve eaten at an Applebees in multiple locations over the years and have found that either their service is just awful or their food is terrible. I want to be clear in saying that I like to give places their fair chance, I would say that Applebees has been given it’s last chance in my opinion. This was some time ago but I wanted to voice my opinion and get it out there, hopefully to warn future customers. I was promptly greeted within a reasonable amount of time, the restaurant was slow and apparently so were the servers. I saw multiple servers standing around the bar area chatting and«not playing on their phones» which was very obviously being hidden. There was a heavyset waitress who was sneering and snickering with her coworkers. After I sat down at the table with my ex wife, that’s when the games began. I was offered an alcoholic beverage which I’ve made it my custom to partake only when asked. That would be the only beverage I would consume during the meal due to the incompetence of the serving staff. Our order was taken when the drinks arrived, it was prompt and timely. After the server took the order, it was the last time I saw her until she delivered the check. I do not remember the server’s name however, she did smell like Rosie O’donnel’s gym shorts after a 5 mile run. I want to say I’m surprised that the manager didn’t catch this before her shift but the manager was an active smoker which was very noticeable. I don’t like to stereotype but the manager looked like she belonged on a run down 50’s diner’s graveyard shift crew. When our food arrived it was delivered by a delightful young man who had a very nice smile. That was the last positive thing I would experience during my time there. The food tasted like the dog’s dinner and was cooked so long that it felt like I was out playing hockey again and got hit by the puck in the mouth. The French fries I ate were cooked well and had a good flavor however, they were cold. It also appeared that I ordered off of the kids menu seeing as I was given a child’s portion. Once the server arrived back at the table, she must have known not to ask how was everything… because she didn’t. I just want to say that if I want to eat something that tastes as dry and horrible as my meal there was, I’ll just go to the PetSmart across the street next time. At least their employees are friendly and give good service.

We have been going to Applebee’s for years. Tonight was the worst service we have ever received. It was our severs first night on the floor alone. It was apparent that she needs more training. We all ordered a drink and one person in our party had to go and get their own drink. We ordered an appetizer that we never received. Then when we got our meals our server brought us a salad that no one in our party ordered and one of the members ordered a half rack of ribs with a baked potato when he finally got his ribs they were with French fries. The manager was nice and took off our meal. He said he would bring a baked potato but never did. Needless to say we were very disappointed by Applebee’s this time around.

Server was good, food was sad and horrible. Not sure why I keep trying to come back here, there food is declining badly. Don’t get me started on the cleanliness of any of the locations either.

Usually it’s okay here. Service is fine. Food is fine, esp during happy hour. I wouldn’t eat a meal here though. I usually come for happy hour, and get the perfect margarita. Usually perfect, especially for 3 – 4 dollars. They had a new menu since the last time I was here, so I tried the Brewster margarita and a friend got the Brewster Long Island iced tea. Both of us thought it was just like juice. Couldn’t taste any alcohol and just not that great at all. Just go with the perfect margarita. Almost always perfect.

Wow… what happened to this place? We went here on a Saturday night during peak dinner time and the place was more than half empty! I used to come here all the time a few years ago and it was always packed and busy. If you came during peak dinner time on a Saturday night, you’d have to wait for at least 30 minutes to get a table. But now that doesn’t seem to be the case. The good thing for us is we didn’t have to wait since it wasn’t busy at all. The customer service wasn’t that great. The hostess who seated us didn’t even say Hi or smile. The waiter didn’t come to our table for several minutes– we had to finally flag him down. Then my entrée came out wrong and no one noticed– not the chef, not the person who brought out my food, not the waiter. I had to point out that my entrée had come out wrong. I will say that our waiter was nice and friendly after we got his attention, but overall the experience pretty much sucked. Also they’ve got a new menu, which means that the foods I liked to order are no longer available and I had to order something else. But on the plus side, the food we ordered was good. So in summary– good food but poor customer service.

So disappointed in our service tonight! Almost 1hr to get our food, over charged on our bill, and almost died of thirst! The new menu stinks too!

When I walked in, I wondered why no one was there. It had been a couple of years, but this place always had a good crowd. Tonight was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in several years. The staff was fighting in the kitchen. We ordered three items, and two of the three were wrong. The bartender was getting lectured by the manager in the back, so drinks were not filled, and food was not delivered. Another couple next to us had problems with the portions and said they were never coming back… You work hard for your money, do not spend it here. There are a lot better options.

Visited this Applebees while in Tucson from out of town. Was a little leary after so many negative reviews, but it was the closest location so we gave it a try. We were very pleased with our carside service and meal. Emma, the carside to-go specialist, was quick, friendly, and efficient. Food was hot and fresh. Order was all correct.

It’s been almost a year since we visited Applebee’s and the only reason we did is because my dad, who is homebound, felt like their fish n chips. So off we go to Applebee’s to get a to go order again, only to be disappointed… again. Hubby and I got the Oriental chicken salad(which used to be our favorite). It’s really sad cuz the Oriental chicken salads used to be soooooooooooo damn good! What happened? The chicken was super tough and dried out and the breading was stale tasting and also in texture. Maybe we were served day old chicken? There were only a couple of pinches of the oriental noodles too and that texture element is what makes it so interesting! The serving size has decreased substantially and the price has increased. What a shame. But on the plus side, my dad was satisfied with his fish n chips.

Came here on a Sunday night. They only had one waiter, and one waitress and they were both running around constantly, seemed frazzled. They ran out of pecans for the salads, and baked potatoes for the dinners. Despite those bumps the waitress was very friendly, and both the fish and chips and the riblets were delicious and really hit the spot. DONOTPASSUPTHECHOCOLATEMOOSEDESSERTSHOT.

The cooks and mangers at this location need some serious training. They can not cook a medium rare steak or burger if their life depended on it. I ordered a steak and it came out wrong so, I asked that they remake it, guess what came out medium well. So, they attempted again with no luck. So, finally I asked for a medium rare hamburger and it came out well done. I just decided to eat it. The manager came by and said«sorry to hear we didn’t meet your expectations«. I don’t think its just mine, but anyone.. I would have thought after sending something back 2 times and telling him the burger was also over cooked he would have comped my meal or maybe a complimentary desert. Although, of course that didn’t happen. Also, the kicker I order a strawberry lemonade the waitress failed to tell me it didn’t include free refills. So, I ended up buying my drink 4 times over. I think its strange my partner ordered a kewi lemonade and he got his refills for free. They told me because it was a premium mix. Lol. I have given up on apple bees.

Firstly, I’d like to say that this is less of a review and more of a cautionary tale. I think my experience at Applebee’s will go down as the worst meal I’ll be able to remember for a long time. My friend talked me into going and I couldn’t see why not. «How bad could it be?» I asked, unaware of the horror that was about to befall me. We started off with an order of the Spicy Chili Cheese Nachos. We shouldn’t have. The chips were stale and lifeless and could hardly support the weight of even the smallest amounts of cheese without crumbling. Maybe they knew that because there wasn’t much chili or cheese to speak of. I guess they were really doing us a favor though because it was awful. Chili does not belong on nachos. Eventually my burger arrived and I could finally stop thinking about how impressive it was that they managed to ruin the concept of nachos so thoroughly. I was sure they would at least get it right this time, after all, a Southwest Jalapeño Burger sounds innocent enough… wait, what’s this in the fine print? Candied Jalapenos? What have they done? It was a traumatic experience. The burger was an overly sweet disaster. There was no saving it. Even after wiping off the slimy jalapeño mess, it was just too far gone. No amount of ketchup can wash away that taste. Before my fateful trip to Applebee’s, I couldn’t remember a single time where I’ve left a burger unfinished at a restaurant. I left my childhood innocence behind right beside that uneaten burger.

Ok, call me crazy, but I love Applebee’s. This one in particular always has a nice bartender and maybe the best Happy hour deals in town.(Half off all alcohol, select apps 3−6pm and late night) Sure, it’s a chain, and all of the best entrees seem to be 1200 calories, but there’s a place for that kind of upscale fast food in my heart. They have certain items that have been on the menu forever(«oriental chicken salad» specifically) that are just great. I don’t care if it’s not health food. It’s delish.

It’s an Applebee’s. Nothing spectacular. Generic, lower-quality food. Their happy hour deals are probably the only thing to really go for. Half-priced appetizers and good drink specials. We ordered mozzarella sticks, which were pretty mediocre. The cheese was rubbery. The marinara sauce was horrendously bad. We used ranch instead. I ordered a steak with a mashed potatoes and broccoli and my husband had the chicken tender plate with fries. Every single item on the plate was way, way too salty. The broccoli smelled way too strong and it was mushy and somewhat gross. The steak was overcooked a bit and a little tough. The mashed potatoes were as thick as almost dried glue. The fries were the salties part of the meal. Even the honey mustard dressing on the side of the chicken tenders was very salty. Yuck. The service was decent, which is why I gave the extra star. Our server was friendly and he was clearly working hard. Do I recommend Applebee’s? No. If you’re in a pinch and that’s all that’s around, though, it’s probably an «ok» choice.

Quick happy hour with my girls before a movie. The place gets busy but we were lucky to find a high top in the bar. Our server was was a cute little pregnant girl and very friendly. I like their happy hour menu for appetizers and drinks. The food is decent, nothing overly exciting. My girls ordered nachos and boneless chicken wings. The kitchen messed up on the nachos by putting pico all over them when my girl specifically asked for none since she hates raw onions. The food was brought out by a different server so when our server came over to check on us she saw the nachos and offered to take them back to be remade. Nice of her to notice without having to be told, that was much appreciated. Applebee’s is a chain so you have to go in with the chain mindset. Don’t expect anything mind-blowing, just decent, consistent food/drinks. I like it for a quick, easy after work happy hour.
