I LIKE this place! Downside is that it’s inside LA Fitness, but they do allow you to utilize the juice bar without a membership. With that in mind, their menu is very geared toward weight building, muscle recovery, etc, which is actually something I find quite helpful. The menu is extensive as are the ad-ins. I went in hopes of finding vegi juice… again no luck! But the gal at the counter pulled one«out of her hat» and offered me a smoothie not on their menu. Banana, spinach, apple, OJ and whey protein. It was FANTASTIC! She wanted to put honey in it to offset the bitterness of the spinach, but I juice vegi’s all the time so I knew it wouldn’t be an issue for me. Thank goodness I did because it was almost too sweet as is. This place is really awesome and is locally owned by the same guy that owned Vila Thai on University, which is now closed… bummer, but yet another score in my attempt to keep it local!

Located inside LA Fitness, Aspire Juice Bar is owned by Vila Jarrell, the owner of Vila Thai on University. The juice bar is an amazing small business model with a pre-paid smoothie card with smoothie rewards for loading your card as well as the regular punch card benefits. So if you need a protein drink after you work out, you can go to the juice bar without carrying cash. Yep, if you think LA Fitness is stereotypical for muscle guys, you can imagine that a protein smoothie place would be even more intense! Anyway, I think the rewards system adds up to $ 55 worth of smoothies if you spend $ 40. If you want rice milk instead of milk, you can get that too. I like the first column of smoothies which are around $ 3 for 16 ounces(I think some of the second column smoothies have Splenda but there are tons of fruit in there); I like them because there is no added sugar and I can just get a smoothie without worrying about extra supplements. If you go there more than one time, they will remember you. Excellent service for two servings of fruit at a price cheaper than trying to make a smoothie myself.
