So, yesterday I was sweating my behind off at the St. Philip’s Farmer’s Market… I need some hydration and I spotted some extremely tasty looking iced tea with vibrant colors. Seriously, the colors were gorgeous. Whoa, my tasty iced ginger teamonade(they have a great way with words) was only a dollar fifty-score! You can also get samples, which I had a few tasty samples as well. Everything was divine! Lucky me, the more you buy the more you save and if you are a vendor, you get a discount as well. Plus, they change the teas every week, so if you spring for a cup often enough, you will really get a feeling for what they have to offer. So, yesterday they were offering the following beverages for $ 1.50(what a steal): Extreme Zen Blend Fruitastic Fruit Tisane: an herbal fruit blend, strawberry-cherry flavor(purchased to make at home –hot, iced and mixed with lemonade)(replace your child’s sugar laden artificial kool-aid with this) AphrodiTea’s Kiss Apricot Black Tea: a soothing black blend Sakurambo Black Tea: a mild Japanese cherry black blend, very refreshing(purchased to make at home, plus I got the last one!)(prepare to float away to Japan upon tasting) Silk Road Bazaar Organic Makaibari 1st Flush Darjeeling Black Tea: a traditional black, sweet and floral Ginger Teamonade: a lemonade using our Organic Sunburst Ginger Herbal Tisane(purchased and devoured there… loved the ginger kick, it was heavenly) Moroccan Mint Teamonade: a lemonade using our Organic Moroccan Mint Green Tea Black Chai: our Chai Nirvana Black Tea made with soymilk Pecan Chai: our Chai Nirvana Pueblo Pecan Lapacho Tisane made with horchata Teas and tisanes far and wide were spread out all over their booth… if you have a hard time finding what you are looking for, just ask, they are really helpful! They are also great at returning emails… superb customer service. Plus, Joe told me they are doing a tea tasting event(7⁄21) at Bing’s Boba Tea(which I have been DYING to check out), and yes, I created a Unilocal event. Note: the address listed is their commercial address, they are not a brick and mortar establishment. However, besides the farmers market you can pick up the tea online, Acacia, the Tucson Botanical Gardens, the Arizona Inn, The B Line, and Delectables here in Tucson, and they have expanded to the Phoenix and Flagstaff areas too! I simply adore when companies support local businesses and Ausperitea is offering 10 percent off of retail purchases and 50 percent off cup service to anyone who shows them a receipt from Delectables or the B Line during the trolley car construction, because they know 4th Ave. is hurting. Ausperitea cares:-) Guess what else, they used Unilocal, when they were determining where to sell their teas– TGFY(Thank God for Unilocal) Green tea, white tea, oolong tea, black teas, pu-erh tea and herbal tisanes(no part of the tea plant is used, it is an herbal infusion… plus, they have health benefits) are their specialties. So, not only are you spending your money to improve your health, you can feel good because you are also helping out a small local business to boot.
