The restaurant is definitely still finding itself as it has only been open for two weeks. We had a large party and they seemed unprepared to handle it. Our drinks took at least 20 minutes to arrive, the appetizers came at all different times, some before the meal, some with the main course. We ordered the appetizer sampler and it was very good. I ordered the steak as my main meal and while it was very savory, the meat was poor quality, fatty and difficult to chew. The portions are also very small for the price. I thought the food was good for the most part, they need to change their meat vendor and teach their servers to be more efficient. I would try it again hoping for a better experience.

This is by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in awhile, and I dine out often at a variety of restaurants and have worked as a server before so I can understand if hiccups happen. However, Barrio left us upset and disappointed and we will not return or recommend it to friends. First off, our server did not give us enough time to even answer how we’re doing after he greeted us and instead interrupted us and rushed into his spiel. After ordering our drinks, we waited 15 minutes while servers constantly bumped into the back of our chairs. After finally ordering appetizers and our entrees, the soup I ordered was sold out, but at 7 o’clock, a restaurant should probably still have enough soup prepared for a dinner rush. My boyfriend and I had to instead get the house salad, which consisted of iceberg lettuce(that looked and tasted worst than ready-to-eat Safeway salad in a bag), some tomato cubes and a few kernels of corn. We couldn’t tell if the salad was missing dressing or if that WAS the dressing. Either way, it was very disappointing and disgusting for waiting over 20 minutes for it. We also didn’t receive our appetizer until the same time our entrees were delivered, with no apology from the server. On a good note, the entrees were delicious because we were expecting the worst after that salad. I ordered their catch of the day(shrimp, kalabacitas, and cilantro rice) while my boyfriend ordered the Prickly Pear spare ribs. All in all, we went home laughing about the whole ordeal but it was a waste of money and our time.
