I found this treasure of a coffee shop two months ago. The coffee is amazing and the staff makes me feel at home. I am here everyday studying in the amazingly comfortable booths. The attention and personal caring towards their patrons is above and beyond. The knowledge of the baristas is top notch as I learn a new coffee fact everyday. I feel great supporting this establishment as all the profits go the charities around town, even their tips ! This coffee shop is doing an amazing service to the community of Tucson.

So I have been looking for a good place to stop for coffee on my way in to work, found Big Heart on Unilocal yesterday and stopped by today. It’s fantastic, first walking in the staff is very nice and welcoming. The coffee is yummy as well as the pastries. She explained to me their business and how all their profits go to help Tucson. There is a board that shows you all about the current charity they are giving back to! Fridays they have food trucks, I may head back for lunch today!

This is my second time to Big Heart coffee this week because I really just love and appreciate it that much! The fact that they donate their proceeds to local charities in Tucson and they give back to the community in such a powerful way really speaks to me and I will make the drive half an hour across town to go there. The coffee is really good but I would definitely recommend getting the coffee milkshake. The shake has espresso as well as ground up coffee beans, so it’s very coffee flavored and absolutely delicious and decadent. Today I had a cuppa tea which was also really nice because I needed something without caffeine. I will be back many many times and I look forward to using the back room for small events and gatherings.

Management gave me a personal tour including the current charity of the month. They’ve certainly got a big heart for the community. Coffee was good and there was plenty of workspace. I’ll be back!

A new coffee shop on the south east side of town. Located in a strip center. Servers were very friendly and explained the approach to contributing and giving back to the community. Had iced americano which was good and used a flavorful expresso. Prices were typical of the area and service was very good. Hope it makes it as it wasn’t very busy when we were in but it was early afternoon. Location might make it challenging to do enough business.

Great coffee spot. Coffee beans and pastries are all from local roasters and bakeries. Gotta try it. Try the mexi-cali beans, they are roasted with chocolate so you don’t need to add sugar. Oh so good. And the staff is very friendly!

Best Coffee in Tucson! I am a coffee fanatic and I am telling you that Starbuck’s does not compete with this place. The atmosphere, people, and coffee are a breath of fresh air! Their coffee warms the heart and soul. Thank you so much for the great experience. #CoffeeWithAPurpose

I love the local everything about this place! They do it all to give back to the community! The people are friendly and the booths are comfortable. Speed is not the most important thing here. This place is about staying and enjoying the company and the atmosphere. Every spot in here is built to be shared. They have board games too! Cozy, homey, and warm is exactly what you will find here.

I’m so glad we happened across this place, the coffee was delicious, atmosphere charming, and staff very friendly! I’d go out of my way to support this place now that I know about it! Their mission is inspiring and really great, local coffee! It does seem like the wait would be long if they get busy, but the staff are still getting the hang of things. Welcome to the neighborhood, Big Heart Coffee!

Having to be up far too early on dreary, rainy day definitely set me in the mood for something hot and sweet, and I’m so happy to have stumbled upon this new shop! If the weather outside was gloomy, the atmosphere at Big Heart is anything but. Immediately welcomed upon stepping inside, I was not only kindly showed where to order(end of the bar, not sitting at it), but then promptly given a grand tour of the newly opened shop as well as offered some great tips on things to try when it became obvious I have no idea what I wanted. I’m not a coffee connoisseur(usually the awkward one at Starbucks trying to remember what the hell constitutes a medium), and Big Heart won me over with their simple infographic explaining just what each of the drinks consists of. The baristas and manager were also very helpful in offering samples and descriptions of the three different brews(including local Yellow Brick). It was overall a fun experience on top of turning out a delicious drink. I’ll have to stop by in to try the delicious smelling hibiscus tea and coffee milkshake concoction that others ordered. There was one or two hiccups in ordering while I was there, but each flaw was immediately addressed and fixed. Props to Diana for running a tight ship. The best thing about this shop however, is that they are going out of their way to give back to their community. Described as a social enterprise instead of a business by manager Diana, the profits of the shop are donated to different charities monthly. The charities also get a chance to showcase what they do in a board by the register. It’s a great concept and I really hope that it takes off. They will be starting to have food truck nights as well as offering a back room for groups to use free of charge soon!
