Black Butterfly Productions proves that good things come in small packages. Inconspicuously located on a quiet side street, there is nothing dark about this butterfly. These guys know how to manipulate light and can handle any of your digital video needs, from transferring dated material or formats into modern digital form (as they did for me), all the way to producing and editing professional quality video on the subject of your choice.
Owner Joe Yearago and his technician, Matt Bail, provide technical services and abilities not easily found elsewhere in Tucson. In my case, I went to a competitor to have 20 year old tapes converted to Apple Pro Res. Promises were made that could not be delivered, and ultimately my tapes were presumed to have been ruined by the passage of time.
I decided to try Black Butterfly Productions. Lo and behold, Matt and Joe turned my disappointment into delight. With experience and a sophisticated arsenal of equipment, the aging tapes magically came back to life in Apple Pro Res. I was finally able to get started editing my documentary in Final Cut after having all but given up.
This is a skilled outfit that will take the time necessary to communicate with their customers by email or telephone, and make their best effort to keep costs down.
