Boot Bunkhouse

I stopped by to get a pair of cowboy boots. I have not been a big fan of cowboy boots, but a recent personal event made me reconsider. After doing a quick search on Unilocal,I decided to give a shot at Boot Bunkhouse. An elderly gentleman (I assume the best, until proven otherwise… Sorry Chuck!) greets you in a casual but helpful way. Chuck is eager to present you with all options in boots and he provides guidance without being pushy. He was helpful and got me 10+ pairs of boots to try on. In addition to his customer serivie, there is another reason for buying shoes from him. As long as you don’t have wear the boots outside (showing wear), you can return within 30 days. This is a great policy for those of us who may want to take these home and ponder the consequences.
Here is a bit I found oit about the owner, Chuck. First of all, I think he is an example of what makes this country great. America is the only country I know where hard work is rewarded without prejudice. We root for hard workers and we root for the underdogs. (Sometimes, I do feel we pull for the unqualified undeserving underdogs, but I digress.) Chuck shared with me how he started with a small amount of money. He drove to El Paso to buy the boots and came to Tucson and sold them at the fairs and markets for profit. He kept driving back and forth to El Paso to Tucson in his truck to keep making a little more. After decades, he has his own store; It is not fancy, but it is a wonderful homely place, a symbol of Americana.
Chuck is an example of what hardwork can do. Rather than waiting for a handout, this man went to make something great with his blood and sweat. Let’s root for Chuck and others who believe that we can still make it with a little bit of ingenuity, a lot of perseverance, and hard work. Go see him if you need a pair of boots.

If you are looking for a pair of boots, this is the place to come. Great service a huge selection and guidance beyond any other. Chuck knows more about boots and fit than anyone. Trust me! I live in the SF Bay Area, and this is my go to place for boots!

Just bought a pair of boots here. Even though it’s almost summer, and apparently the wrong season to buy boots, the store has a really nice selection of good quality, top brand boots. DON’T GO TO THE BOOT BARN! Instead, visit the Bunkhouse, get yourself properly measured, and check out the wide variety of boots. Once he knows what you’re looking for, Chuck will pull out a tower of boxes and will keep at it until you’ve found the perfect pair. Loved this place!

Love this place just bought my 4^th pair of boots from Chuck been going here for the past 10 years or so. This is a true mom and pa boot house

Boot Bunkhouse is a little place with a surprisingly decent selection of cowboy boots. I met A there at lunch because she is bound and determined to find the perfect pair of boots because really, every girl needs a pair of fashion cowboy boots.
It’s a comfortable shopping environment and the owner is helpful with just the right amount of fun and sarcasm to make your experience unique from bigger stores with less personality.
He brought out the two pair A wanted to try on as well as a few other pair he thought she might like based on her previous selection. Prices are consistent with other local stores selling similar merchandise.
Unfortunately, A didn’t LOVE anything today although she liked quite a few. But when you’re spending a couple hundred dollars on boots, I think you need to LOVE them. We were told when it is best to come back to see all the new women’s fashion boots later in the year as they arrive from designers and manufacturers. So we’ll be back after summer is over to find something new, fashionable and gorgeous.
