So as it turns out this is the only dentist that extracts teeth that El Rio works with or will refer you to in all of the Tucson area?! And being that this is the only dentist that El Rio works with for extracting teeth you would figure that they would be on the same page and how much they charge, however that was not the case! I was quoted one price at El Rio but when I got here El Rio’s Max price was this places minimum actually not even it was more than quoted as the minimum. I was quoted max $ 150 but when I got there the minimum was $ 169. But that wasn’t even the worst part, while I was sitting in the chair waiting for this to happen they asked me to pay for the service! I don’t think I’ve ever been asked to pay like that, I felt very uncomfortable and I thought it was incredibly inappropriate to ask a patient to pay before the service is even done while they’re sitting in a chair! Like they had to make sure I paid and the card went through before they actually performed the service, that’s what it felt like it didn’t feel good at all! And now the worst part, I can only describe my tooth being pulled as in a scene from Dr Quinn Medicine Woman which was set in the early 1900’s when the man took the pliers and just started yanking and yanking and yanking! They even had to bring in a young man to hold my head so she could continue to yank! Then she smacked my tooth with the pliers, It was an incredibly unpleasant experience and I can guarantee I will never go back! I guess after writing this I definitely won’t be going back especially if they read this! I feel I have to express my experience and it’s unfortunate it wasn’t better service considering that they are the only outside contractor that El Rio contracts with! But hey I guess that’s why there other people that do the same job So enter at your own risk!
