I bought a $ 1200 recliner approximately six years ago from Brett’s. After three years, the back simply irreparably collapsed. The frame has a lifetime warranty, but this could not be fixed. So, Josh Brett was gracious enough to give me a «great deal.» He would sell me the top of the line, a $ 1600 chair for $ 799, a 50% discount. I accepted that deal. I didn’t go to a less expense place because I wanted to be certain I was getting quality. Josh insisted it was some sort of defect. I bought the second chair on April 14, 2013. Four day delivery. Something happened at the factory and it arrived April 30, 2013, just under 3 years ago.
In the summer of 2015, the back began to give way and not fully erect. I called and was referred to their «service man.» After a few calls, he returned the call and said he wouldn’t come out for that and told me how to do it myself. I went through the exercise of taking the back off and tightening the nuts that were loose. That lasted a day or so.
In September, the leather on the right arm developed a hole, which continued to grow in size to about five inches when I purchase a chair cover to hide it and keep it from spreading. The leather is only guaranteed for one year, however, against normal wear.
I figured a chair this expensive would last, should last. I called Josh Brett and he would charge $ 400+ for the leather replacement and take care of the back, except for the labor (the greatest expense of the repair). It would cost $ 200 to $ 300 for the labor. I asked, «so, there’s nothing you can do?» Brett’s reply was simply, «no.» Nothing else was said.
I would recommend you be careful of what you buy and think twice about this company’s «so-​called service.» Price means nothing. My Lazy-​Boy lasted eight years. Go somewhere where they give real service and read their warranty.

Beautiful leather furniture. Mr. Brett is very knowledgable and accommodating. When we are ready, we’ll be back to this store.

Great selection of nice furniture and rugs. Very helpful staff. They also have catalogs to look through so if you have a certain concept in mind and they don’t have it in their showroom they can order it for you. Delivery of my furniture was on time and the guys were very nice.
