I usually have a fine experience here. but today was no Bueno. Only because of one employee. she must have been having a bad day. She was so miserable and didn’t appear to want to help anyone. I’m not sure if she is in a supervisor role since she was in all black as opposed to everyone else in hats and red. She seemed irritated that I wanted my sandwhich on a bagel instead of bread. then when I asked it to be toasted, that was the end of it. No offer if I wanted it to go. I planned on staying and eating. but I didn’t really feel welcome. She needs an attitude adjustment big time. It’s the hospitality business. Act like it. My bagel was good and fresh however. I will try again, but not if she is here.

I guess the place could be a little more tidy. Maybe a little bit dark in here which doesn’t help with the ambiance. But oh that smell of fresh bagels. Yes, Einstein’s is more appealing and has so much more to offer. However, if you are a purist like me when it comes to bagel i’m in it for Bruegger’s. To try to describe«the bagel» is simply that they are smaller, heavier, meatier, tastier than Einstein’s. It’s the real deal on what a bagel should taste like. The help here is excellent, young ladies are always so accommodating. I come here on Wednesdays to get their great deal with $ 2.00 off on their dozen bagels. My favorites are the rosemary bagel and the jalapeño bagel. I am daring. I start my morning with the Jalapeño bagel with cream cheese and Trader Joe’pepper jelly. It’s an eye opener.

Trash overflowing the waste cans. Filthy floors and tables. Service that makes glacial flow look like the Indy 500. Disgusting!

Great bagels that rival those I have had in Vermont. The Jalapeño cream cheese is not quite spicy enough for me, but is still very good. Everything here is clean and tidy! Employees are professional, neat, clean, helpful and friendly. Management is pro-active in assisting and ensuring things are running right. Outside patio is a great place to read the paper and enjoy their great coffee and a bagel in the morning. I will return here on my next visit to Tucson.

This bagel spot really is the best. Here’s all you need to know: — Clean; the floors, the restrooms, the counters, the tables. Clean. — Friendly staff, eager to please(did I mention the boss is always there watching them…) — Great bagels, cream cheese and breakfast sandwiches. — Good coffee. Really good coffee. Oh, did I mention they are open for business? Early in the morning, in the afternoon, on holidays, they are open. Open when you need a bagel; like on the weekends when you are on your way out of town on a long road trip and you must have something to eat and a coffee… open, unlike others in the area. Great place. Worth a stop for an authentic bagel with a schmear of something fabulous washed down with a stiff brew. Let’s start the day.

I drive the extra distance to buy my fresh baked ciabatta bread from this store simply because the staff at this location are so much more friendlier then the other Bruegger’s stores. I visited every Bruegger’s in town and this is definitely the one with the best staff. Always a smile, always nice and willing to give the the best service possible. They make you feel like your really welcome when you enter the store. To me that makes the difference, even the food tastes better!

Bagels are good and fresh — period, enough about the food. That being said — if corporate is reading this, please give the employees, at this site anyway, some instruction on handling food. My point: I just spent some time there enjoying my bagel and coffee watching the goings on. I watched as the person making the bagels(I believe to be the manger) and wearing his latex gloves, came out to the serving area, helped fill some orders, headed to the coffee machine to make some coffee, did some paper work, then handled money at the cash register, after which he preceded back to fill some more orders, then back to the cash register to handle some more cash — ALLWITHTHESAMEGLOVESON!!! What the«H#%*», does that mean because he’s wearing his«sanitary» latex gloves he doesn’t have to wash his hands after using the rest room! My bagel suddenly didn’t taste as good as the first bite! BTW — the gal preparing food basically did the same thing — I guess if it’s good enough for the manger it was good enough for her — time for some re-training!

All I’m going to say is: It’s not Einsteins! Mediocre food. Mediocre service. Crappy coffee. And wi-fi. Great if it’s your last resort.
