California Lighting Design

I’m watching TV on a Sunday morning around 8:30am and I see an advertisement for Christmas lighting. I call the number and to my surprise someone answers. We then set up an appointment that same day for an estimate. We go over the design of my wish list, agree on a price, and my custom Christmas lights are hung by 10am the next morning! Here is the bonus… I don’t have to take the lights down in February, March, whenever I find the time… and they will store the lights for me and set up a date for next year for them to automatically go back up. Love this!

We live in Oro Valley and have a lovely home with spectacular views. We wanted to accentuate the natural beauty around our home and hired a landscape architect and a contractor to build an artistic rock retaining wall on our property. When the landscaping and retaining wall were finished, we wanted to have strategic lighting placed to highlight the wall and landscaping. We were aware of the beautiful lighting jobs California Lighting Design did in Northern California, and when we found out the company recently relocated to Tucson, we were thrilled. Lyons Whitmore, the owner of California Lighting Designs, came to our home and we shared with him our thoughts about what we wanted to achieve with exterior lighting. Lyons brought samples of the fixtures his company uses, made suggestions and gave us ideas and then had us walk around our property with him. As we walked, he made suggestions based on what we hoped to achieve. We told him we wanted to do the exterior lighting in stages, and that we wished to begin with the newly landscaped area and the patio and courtyard off our master bedroom. We were delighted with his suggestions, and as he showed us where the lighting needed to be placed to best highlight and showcase the landscaping and retaining wall, we realized Lyons would save us from making costly mistakes. Lyons and his crew finished the first stage of lighting, and the results are spectacular! We will continue to work with California Lighting Design, and we will refer them often. We have found Lyons Whitmore to be a man of his word and a knowledgeable and skilled craftsman.
