I cannot wait to get out of this place at the end of the month! I have had nothing but problems here since day 1! First off, if you do every have problems here DONT talk to the manager, she’s so passive she makes sure to sidestep you the whole time just to avoid confrentation. I had seal leaks for 6 weeks when I first moved in before they were ever«fixed», come to find they still weren’t actually fixed. So after 8 ½ weeks of that it was finally fixed; My electric was sky high until then! Not to mention within the first 8 months of being here my air conditioner broke more than 10 times and it always was a huge hassle getting it fixed. Then, on Jan 31 I can home from the hospital to a huge leak in my bedroom that soaked my bed and night stand. I still have yet to get a response from Bonnie as to what’s going On with any reimbursements for my damaged things. It took them 10.5 weeks to fix the roof leak! March 12 was the«first» part to a month long process in fixing the problems. For this period they had drilled a series of 8 holes fully through my walls. Bees in the hive forming right outside my bedroom were getting in through these holes. I’m allergic.(They never said anything about the hive until they day before they had the hive remived). So by mid April they finally finished and filled the holes. Came home after Mother’s day to another damn leak in the same place! It was never really fixed because this place obviously hired cheap labor! I had asked Bonnie for a maintenance record for my apartment back in February during the leak(where I wasn’t accommodated, just told I should move my furniture everytime it’s going to rain!) And still I have yet to see those records. I like HSL but I think they need to find more qualified management. Justin is the upside to this place’s maintenance. And Michael is the sweetest. Forgot to mention that they declined to inform me about a string of robberies that were happening when I was trying to start my lease. the day I signed my lease, there was a NEWS story on it. When I mentioned it to staff, they said it was not true and blown out of proportion!

Hi, I am a resident here at Canyon Oaks for over three years and this week I am scared to death because of all the serious home invasion and burglaries that occurred this week. An elderly man was asleep in his apartment last night and a man broke and stole his T.V. and his sense of security. The other robbery this week they stole a woman’s gun and sofa. If you move or live here please use extreme caution!

An HSL property. The Property: Green grass, trees with shade, a lot of areas for dogs to play in this animal friendly community! Parking is plentiful however not in a secure area. Locked gates to access the actual property, however most were kept unlocked 24⁄7. On-site laundry, BBQ area, tennis court, fitness center, and pool/spa are all a part of this community. The Apartment: Well maintained. Old-ish cabinetry and appliances however no issues. Carpet and laminate flooring throughout. I lived with BWWII here in 2006 and we lived in a large 1bedroom/1bath with large balcony on the top floor. He lived there longer than I did. Noise was not an issue for us, only the usual noise associated with living in apartments but mostly sound proof. Safety was a concern, things stolen from balcony and a lot of car safety issues in the parking lot. Unsure if this was the neighbors itself or just the location. I’ve lived in worse. I’ve lived in better.
