Good things come in small packages & Case Park is just that. After selling the ranch & moving into town it was such a joy to find this treasure of «openness». Great place to soak in the mountain views, run with the dogs, get a taste of nature & wide open space. Oh, how I have missed that. This is where I go to re-charge & escape the confines of the city… if only for a while. Close to home so I can walk there:)

Nothing else can be said that hasn’t already been said. This park is awesome!

A neighbor clued me in about this hidden oasis tucked into an average east side neighborhood, bordered by Broadway and 22nd and Houghton and Harrison. Case Park is a 41-acre«Natural Resource» park. The main part of the park includes a patch of rolling lawn, a separate playground and a sweet little community butterfly garden — all encircled by a serpentine paved trail. The park is family– and dog-friendly, with a handful of nice covered picnic areas, a barbecue grill, a Porta-Potty and even bags to pick up dog doo(which more people should use, I might add). Case sits on a little rise, so the views are a treat. In places along the paved path, the desert landscaping made me feel more like I was in Saguaro National Park than in the middle of the suburbs. To go even more«natural,» head for the unpaved trail on the east side of the park. It leads to a .2 mile loop through the desert.

I absolutely love this park. It is beautiful and unique. It has a wonderful walking/hiking trail that is great for beginners just looking for some exercise or an evening stroll. There’s a decent sized grass field, good enough to play fetch with the pups, a game of toss, or to picnic on. There are a few picnic tables and BBQ’s throughout, but not too many. Walking on the paved path will bring you to a playground and jungle gym type area for the children. This park even has a butterfly & hummingbird garden which is absolutely beautiful and peaceful to visit. If I had to list a gripe about Case Park, it would be that the parking lot is rather small. We haven’t had any issues actually finding a parking spot, though, so it’s not much of a gripe. I would encourage everyone to visit this park and see what it has to offer! I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!

my daughter loves going to the park. in fact, she is constantly asking if we can go to the park. so we can go down the slide, or push her on the swings. we decided to get out of the house and pick up some lunch and take it over to the park. the kid area is very nice. there’s a nice pavilion with a table and shade. i felt safe at this park and that it was very well kept. there were some kids playing football in the open grass area. and a dad and his baby daughter over by the jungle gym. i felt that it was age appropriate for my two year old and that she could climb up without me having the fear of her falling off. they even have a gated garden area. i think it’s sponsored by a local scout-troop. they have quite a few rocks/fixtures painted with their names on it. it’s really quaint and cute. sue p is right! there are only 9 parking stalls total. including two handicap ones. if it were a busier day, i’m not sure where we would have parked. i am excited to bring my daughter back again. it’s nice to have a safe/clean park to visit with such young ones.
