I’m only giving this a star because you simply have to. This place is an absolute disaster. My best friend ate here last night and now is in the hospital with food poisoning hooked up to an IV. If you must eat here, DONOT eat the California Chicken Sandwich with Lettuce. She is missing her commencement ceremony today because of this food poisoning. So good luck! Ya’ll know what you’re getting into.

Stopped by the Charley’s at Park Place Mall for dinner on a Thursday night. I had a coupon that could get me a free complimentary meal at that particular Charley’s thanks to my participation and craziness at an air guitar competition that took place in June 2014 at that mall. Sorry folks, but since air guitar has nothing to do with Charley’s, this fascinatingly story of massive interest will have to stay hidden from view. Anyways, I arrived at the massive food court and walked over to the Charley’s. There wasn’t anybody in line besides four high-school-aged girls, and they were behind me. I showed the voucher to the cashier, and I was praying the cashier wouldn’t rip it up and say it was a fake. Nope. The cashier gladly accepted it. She was also patient enough to explain to me what I could get since it was my very first visit to any Charley’s. So many choices… so much food! What did I end up picking? A philly cheesesteak, cheddar bacon fries, and a large drink. That probably didn’t look too good on the nutritional side, but hey it was free, so why not gorge myself with some awesomely good food? So yeah about the food… did I mention that it was awesomely good? Oh I did? Well I guess it was that awesomely good that I had to mention it two times… no wait sorry I said it once more, so make it THREE. Sitting in the comfortable booth seats with not many people around me made me feel like I was in a Carl’s Jr commercial: Cheesesteak, fries, and a coke. Don’t bother me, I’m eating. The new Philly Cheesesteak sandwich only at Charley’s.

I got to the mall early and was a little hungry so I thought I would give Charley’s a try. I got the steak and egg breakfast sub combination. The sub was good, the hash browns were the small round tater tot kind. I was hoping that they would have actual hash browns seeing how they have a grill. So I was unimpressed with the deep fried tater tots.

My first thought when I looked up and saw the«sub» shop next to a subway inside the food court of the mall was,“ugh bad planning”. But I reckon every place is worth a shot and see if they are good. I have the BBQ cheddar Melt: the idea– great the execution — lacking I went into the food with an open mind and the sandwich was actually decent enough(except they put lettuce on it — Never seen that done with a philly type sandwhich) So overrall the food was decent for Mall food but having to wait almost 5 – 10 mins for a soda was a little lack luster. Maybe if the staff had been more focused on keep their customers servered I wouldn’t have noticed the lag… Had to ask for the drink like 4 times…
