Chicken Nuevo

Food is okay… it’s chicken you can GET IT EVERYWHERE.
But the service is very poor and you will NEVER get everything you are paying for.
I’ve quit going there even though I like the food but they have shortchanged me (and you?) for the last time.
I spoke to management about their uneven food service and they didn’t care hence this review.
Not going back anytime soon.

Ok the chicken is the best in Tucson!!!
I love the dark meat. So that is why I always TRY to order the number 6, 10 pice all dark meat with no skimpy wings. (FYI I feel like a fat ass that I know what the number 6 consist of) 7x out of 10 I am told that they don’t have the number 6. This always confuses me. Usually I drive to Safeway and buy some Rotisserie chicken. Not as good, coast more money and its not all dark meat. How ever I feel that a chicken restaurant with menu items such as the number 6 should have the number 6. Or at lest give me a wait time.
Today I went to this Salmonella buffet. I asked for the number 6 no sides 10.99
They told me they where out of the number 6 but I could get the Wednesday special 12 pice with 3 large sides 14.99 whicth consist of dark and white meat. I asked if they are out of dark meat they told me they only have dark meat for the Wednesday special. I didn’t want the large sides so I just drive off and went to Safeway.
If you have dark meat you have the number 6
If you don’t want to serve it then take it off the menu

Great authentic Mexican food. They have really expanded their menu and to other locations ever since they opened over 10 years ago. It is a family owned and operated restaurant. The carne asada burrito is great and massive and unlike alot of other «so called Mexican» restaurants they DO NOT charge for guacamole. Because any Mexican knows that charging for guacamole at a Mexican joint is like McDonalds charging for ketchup it just shouldn’t happen, but thats besides the point. I usually get the number 3 combo and the chicken is always crispy and perfectly cooked. They marinate they chicken for over a day so it has an amazing taste! If you are ever in Tucson you must go to any of the locations they have, you wont be disappointed

This is a great Mexican pollo asado joint. I got the three piece chicken combo with a side of whole beans, tortillas and a drink for under 6 dollars and it was fantastic the chicken had a great flavor, was very juicy and they have a great condiment bar selection.
