Sooooo disappointed! The price versus the amount is laughable!
Don’t order a Carne Asada burrito because it looks like a jumbo taquito with a ton of rice and beans — plus a splash of meat. If it’s filet mignon than its an appropriate price but I’m in a drive thru so that’s not the case. Stay away unless you want to watch TV in the dining area cause that’s the only reason it got 2 stars.

The family stayed at a hotel near this place for a second time in two weeks… Returning from a thanksgiving trip to Texas.
The first time we avoided the place because it was empty, dark, and a little scary looking from the lack of customers that we had seen or not seen visiting the restaurant. Unfortunately we headed to the Denny’s next door which was a total disaster.
The second time we decided to give the place a try because it was either Chickenuevo or Burger King. Yeah, not a very difficult decision to make.
Again, the place was dead and we felt a little awkward as we were the only customers there on a Saturday evening. We decided to get it to go because it was easier to feed our family of 5 in the hotel room.
The place was clean, the staff was pleasant and the service was quick. Pricing was cheaper than what we would have paid at any other fast food restaurant so that was a plus.
The food was surprisingly good. The chicken wasn’t dry, it had a great taste and the salsas were pretty good as well. We chose the macaroni and whole beans as our sides. The only thing we were disappointed about was that we thought it would be Mac n cheese but it ended up being macaroni salad. That was our mistake as we should have asked prior to ordering. The beans were actually pretty good and had flavor. The guacamole on our chips was good too. My wife said it was too spicy for her but I thought it was tasty. The tortillas were good but I wish they would have given us more. 6 tortillas isn’t enough for a family of 5, two of which are under 5 and love tortillas. Oh and they also put a fried jalapeño in with our chicken which was pretty awesome.
All in all the experience was good, the food was tasty, and I would definitely consider giving Chickenuevo a try if you are unsure where to eat if you are staying in any of the nearby hotels. I actually think it was better than El Pollo Loco as I have had good and bad experiences there.

The chicken and the sides all tasted very good and the staff was nice and also quite fast. We also appreciated how clean the facility was. We’ll definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

I was in Tucson for business and located this restaurant near my hotel. Overall, not bad. The service was mediocre at best, but the food was pretty good for the value. I would recommend it because it is better than fast food.

I got the enchilada with green sauce and the chicken was very salty. Maybe it was just a bad night. I definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to come back though.

The best grilled chicken in Tucson! The Valencia location is near my work, and I eat there about once a week. The #1…chicken breast, wing, brown beans, side salad, always get it– never been disappointed. The servers are friendly, condiment bar always stocked and fresh, and prices are good. Bathrooms smell of cleaner, and that odor wafts out into the restaurant sometimes, they need to fix that, but otherwise, fantastic!

The service was really good. Place was really clean, fast service. Would definitely come back. Better than other similar places.

Ordered the Wednesday family special which for $ 14.99 was great. 12 piece chicken two large sides beans and rice and tortillas. My kids always love this place we opted for take out so that we could enjoy at home. The chicken here is always great the service not so much, but I like it enough to continue to go.

The SUPER nachos were great. The restaurant needed some cleaning though. Great place for takeout.

The chicken was surprisingly tasty for a fast food joint, and the guac was delicious.

We had never been before so we asked the employee what to get. She gave good suggestions and was really nice. The food was yummy and didn’t disappoint. The chicken had a crispy jalapeño flavor (not spicy) and the sides were good. It was also a great bargain. Our family of five ate for about $ 20. Awesome!

The four stars are for the food not the service. The only thing we ever order is the the family pack chicken orders. We love the chicken and the fresh corn tortillas. On our recent visit on a Sunday night at 7:15 pm, the employee taking orders was extremely rude. We wanted to dine in but she said they were getting ready to close and the sign indicated they closed at 8 pm. We didn’t dispute it so we wouldn’t continue to get mistreated. We got our delicious chicken and left. They are lucky the chicken is good, otherwise I wouldn’t go back!

The chicken was ok, very small pieces… macaronie salad tasted like plain cold pasta… Tucsson needs a Pollo Loco here!

Another Chicken Nuevo location and this one also did not disappoint! Since it is family owned and operated they do not change any recipes or ingredients so all the locations taste similarly AWESOME! In all locations they have a special every Wednesday where you buy a whole chicken and you get half a chicken for free! i believe its like 15 dollars and you get a few sides and awesome tortillas. Staff is great and friendly!

Crispy chicken tacos are great! Grilled Shredded chicken packed into a fried corn tortilla, then topped with pickled onion, sour cream and queso fresco. I had them once, and then I was hooked! Plus, you can get 5 for 5.49!!! The chips and cheese for 99 cents is great… the cheese has a little jalapeño juice to give it a bit of flavor. I was a little put off when I ordered it to go as it was just in a paper bag… messy…BUT it was jammed packed! 99 cents?! Steal!!! Nice little salsa bar. They make the deserts in house. Wednesday you can get a free half a chicken with the purchase of a whole chicken, tortillas, sides, salsa for 14.99! Drive through and carry out are fast. If you are looking for fried chicken, this is not your place, the chicken is grilled. I saran wrapped my left over taco and it was still crispy and delicious the next day.

Easy access off Valencia clean restaurant, semi friendly staff, hot food, an pretty tasty to boot. What more do u want?
