I went here because I wanted to try the coffee. The coffee was good, not at all sour, very well made. What bothered me here was the service. They weren’t friendly at all. Nobody really talked to me or acknowledged my presence when I was standing there waiting to order until after quite sometime even though there were two people present. I wouldn’t come back here only because of the customer service provided.

What a gem! I love the handmade cards! The chocolate iguana drink in divine! A great treat. Have fun picking out a nostalgic candy from the good old days. They have it all. Go on a Saturday night and a cute band plays in the courtyard. High class all the way. I’ll be back for date night!

5 Stars for the food. But the serve was«HORRIBLE». Slow, was not greeted as I enter, continued to take on her phone and finally ask us what we wanted after 5 minutes, while still having a conversation on her phone. The coffee was good and hot.

out of Towner’s and decided to go to the chocolate iguana for a beverage with my family of 5. after a delicious mocha latte shake I found a black hair in the middle of my drink and since my family are all light in hair color, I knew it did not come from us. Small space and service average.

Such a great place for breakfast and lunch! The girls working here are such a pleasure and suggested the best sour cream chocolate chip muffin. The prices are great for such an excellent quality breakfast. The have the most adorable store with trinkets available to buy and an awesome overlook of the hustle and bustle of 6th st. Overall, Chocolate Iguana is a win.

I’ve been coming here for years and years and I have and always will love this place. Their pasta salad and their sandwiches are so yummy, and they have lots of yummy candies in just the right sized bags for a nice pick-me-up.

Great breakfast place with so many options. Want a smoothie? They’ve got you covered. Craving a savory breakfast? They’ve got that, too. Looking for a sweet pastry or some homemade candy for later? It’s all there. And the coffee is good, too!

The pastries under glass look amazing! I don’t dare to have one, they are so big and so obviously full of calories. I had an Americano there recently, which was not very good. However, I’ve had the mocha shake and that is fabulous. I think the pattern is clear. If it is loaded with sugar, it is delicioso. I have bought their bagged candy as well and that too was splendid. Just writing all this down made me change my 3 to a 4.

I had their signature drink. It had mint ice-cream. It was pretty good. I need to come here and try their candy sometime.

This was a very cool location for a coffee shop that we stopped by while visiting downtown Tucson! There were lots of funny and cute items displayed in their store like a periodic table of desserts. I ended up getting their Chocolate Iguana signature drink, which came with mocha, whipped cream, and mint chocolate chip ice cream. It was incredible, I would definitely come here again.

Yummy! Popped in with the boys after hitting Goodwill on 4th. I opted for an iced Mocha and an Almond Cherry Scone. The kids had ice cream and cookies. I don’t usually like scones, as they tend to be dry, this was the best scone I have ever had. It was moist and flavorful. The coffee was also very good.

We love this place! They have fabulous coffee and smoothies and their candy selection is oh-so-good. You can find many kinds of retro candy here that is hard to find, like Abba Zabba bars, candy cigarettes, taffy and candy dots. The chocolate and baked goods are scrumptious and they even have, yes, chocolate iguanas. I highly recommend the maple, walnut scone! Mmmmmmm mmm. They also carry a few gift items that are reasonably priced. I might have to return for a cute lunchbox someday.

I stopped by last night with my boyfriend to get something for dessert. The place is nice, it reminded me of the crack seed stores we have in Hawaii. The walls are lined with various treats, and they have pastries, ice cream, and drinks. So, after careful consideration, I finally asked for a slice of vanilla cake. I asked if they bake their own pastries. They don’t, but they get it from a local bakery. The young woman who handed it to me exclaimed to her coworker, «Doesn’t this cake look magical?!» Her coworker then said, «If you like frosting.» My ears kind of perked up at that, but what could you say to that? I just took my cake, said thank you and left.

What is not to love? We have ice cream, we have candy, we have chocolate, we have coffee, we have ice-cream-chocolate-cofee shakes. The space is tiny but charming and quirky, the outdoor patio is prime for people watching, and the vibe is divine. I only wish my visits weren’t limited to my annual visits home.

I didn’t have much to base this on because I only tried a handful of truffles, which were sinfully delicious, and some chocolate coconut mixture. Whatever the second thing was, I’d like a swimming pool of. My reason for 5 stars is customer service. I walked in right at closing and instead of the gals making a huge fuss over things, everyone received their ice cream and desserts as if it was no big deal. Sadly this doesn’t always happen at most establishments, so keep up the great work!

Had the signature chocolate iguana dessert($ 4.50). It was a large portion of double mocha with generous scoops of mint ice cream in the center. It was topped with chocolate drizzled whipped cream with a thin chocolate stick(AKA iguana tail) on top. Quite a lot going on in this dessert! While I enjoyed each separate component, I’m not sure I totally liked the entire dessert as a whole. I do appreciate the creativity though! Service was fast and friendly. The store itself is very cute and has a picturesque little patio area.

Location: it is a small store at the heart of downtown. There is inside seating and a patio area. I do wish that the tables were a bit cleaner. Restroom is around the corner of the store and staff will provide you with a key if needed. Service: Staffs were super friendly. Their service is definitely a 5 star rating. Food: I ordered their signature drink«chocolate iguana shake» and it was decent. The mint chocolate ice cream is delicious. However, I am not too sure if it goes well with the coffee. Even thought the ice-cream is cold, the coffee drink was a bit warm at the bottom. When those two goes together, it does taste a bit weird. It doesn’t taste bad… but it does tastes weird. Rating: They do have very great selections of muffins, cookies and coffee drinks. I’ll definitely stop by to try something else next time I go to Tuson.

Can someone please mail me a café mocha shake? I’ve been craving one pretty bad this week, but maybe not quite bad enough to drive 800 miles. So my niece and I had come in here late one night after dinner, and we were super tired from taking care of a relative in the hospital, and we basically just stared at the clerks and waited for them to tell us what we wanted. I realize of course that restaurant clerks are not required to possess ESP skills, but these ladies did. So we got a café mocha shake, and I am totally stealing that name from another review– I think it was called something else. It was like the equivalent of a mocha freeze from Costco, except that it was actually good. It was a blend of Blue Bell chocolate ice cream and Illy coffee. This is all special to me because Blue Bell is not sold in California, and Illy is like, top shelf at Target. They don’t sell it at Wal-Mart, so it’s at least classier than trashy. Anyways. I think there were also chocolate chips and whipped cream involved. This drink was so amazing that when my niece and I failed to finish it, rather than throw the last three inches away, I let them ride in the car with me for 45 minutes so my sister could try it. It was really that good. My sister was thoroughly disgusted with the fact that I brought her an old used shake. I guess I didn’t really think that one through. Still, it was good when I took it out of the freezer the next morning. Yeah, it was really THAT good. A few days later, my sister and I came back to split the same thing, and the girls were really sweet and split it into two separate cups for us, and put whipped cream on both. I just thought that was pretty cool because most places will just hand you an extra cup accompanied by a dirty look. My mom is sort of a lemon bar snob, so I brought her a lemon bar to have for breakfast the next day, and she told me it was just okay– but then she also asked me where I got it. I’m not sure whether it was really just okay, or whether she was just trying to impress upon me that I would never quite be on her level when it comes to lemon bars.(I actually had a bite and thought it was fantastic.) On top of the coffee drinks and pastries and ice cream, this place sells tons of cute little decorations, lunch pails, coffee mugs, etc. The inside is painted all kinds of funky colors, and the orientation of the windows happened to provide a perfect backdrop for some Instagram shenanigans. This is generally just a fun place to be. I’d come back for sure if I lived nearby.
