Clean Light

Had Clean Light come out last Friday to install a couple solar tubes. I picked him because of his background as a roofer and did not want any leaks in my one-​year old house. Unfortunately he was unable to install one in our Kitchen due to the roof framing, ducts and existing lights. The one in the hall looks great and we really wish now it would have worked in the kitchen. I would have given him 5 stars but I want into the attic this weekend to make sure no water had leaked after it rained and found very large gaps in the insulation. He had to move the insulation to install the tube but forgot to put it back. He also forgot to put it back over the kitchen when he was seeing if it would be possible to install one there. He even forgot to turn off the attic light, not a big deal. He should not have been in a hurry due to he was going to install two lights and only did one.

Starts the job and could not get the guy to finish. He held up the construction of my new home. All he had to do was put in 4 10″ sky tubes. After 3 visits he had 1 complete and 2 partially complete. The roofers could not finish their job and seal the roof up until he was done. I left many many messages and never a call back. Once when he answer the phone I told him about all the messages and he said he is too busy to check his messages. DON’T TAKE ON WORK YOU CANT HANDLE. He would tell me he was going to be at the house a certain day to complete the work and would just no show. In my humble opinion he is a piece of work you should not do business with this company. This is not how you treat customers.
Update — after me speaking my mind he did come back and quickly complete the job, so I added a star.

We recently bought a north Phoenix home that needed a lot of updating. The back hallway, master bath and entryway looked like caves. We worked with TJ from clean light to fix that and make our house happier and brighter. He had 2 good Unilocal reviews at the time I chose him. I’m so happy to write him a 3^rd. We had two 14″ velux solar tubes installed and replaced our old acrylic skylights with top of the line velux ones. Our main concern with he skylights was energy efficiency. Our old skylights might as well just have not been there bc they were practically throwing out AC away. I obtained some quotes before picking our contractor. clean light was the best priced. No high pressure sales, no «buy it in 30 days for a better price» BS. Straightforward, no gimmicks. TJ was such a nice guy and a pleasure to do business with. Clean, polite, honest recommendations that go in favor of the homeowner evening it costs him business (we were going to do 3 tubes but mutually decided on 1 bc it let enough light in we both concluded). TJ is extremely knowledgeable and knows how to do the job right. Skylights done wrong will leak. It’s an important aspect of selecting who will do them– will they do it right?! TJ took pride in his job and I know we had a job that was very well done. He also walks on tile roofs like a pro without breaking anything. Thanks TJ! We are so happy with your job what a difference these tubes and skylights make! Also, our tubes and skylights qualify for a 25% tax return. we were given all the paperwork we need for when we file next year. Score !

This spring we had 2 ten inch tube skylights installed by TJ from Clean Light. So far it has been the best upgrade that we have done to our older home and I have already recommended TJ to family members who had him install skylights in their home. I was really impressed with how friendly and thorough TJ was and look forward to using Clean Light again in the future when I can afford to add more. I rarely have good experiences with most of the contractors in AZ but I would not hesitate to recommend and use Clean Light again!

Have been wanting to add natural light in the kitchen for a while now. Finally pulled the trigger after meeting TJ the owner of Clean Light at the Maricopa County home show.
The morning of the installation was a nice & sunny January day. TJ arrived on time surveyed the area and made suggestions on size and location of tube. Went with a 14″ Velux Sun Tunnel. Took TJ just a couple of hours to complete. Was surprised just how bright the kitchen became… actually too bright! After recognizing my concern TJ took the time and effort to adjust the brightness and make it just right! Couldn’t be happier with the end result. And as for TJ a decent likeable patient & passionate man who enjoys what he does.
So if your wanting to add light to a dark room I would highly recommend Clean Light.
