I received eye surgery from Dr. Cohen a couple years ago. I’ve had great results as did a friend of mine. My vision is back to 20⁄20. However, if Dr. Cohen wants his business to truly reflect his talent, he needs to find a staff that has more attention to detail, who has more customer service skills and who really knows how to handle clients over the phone. If you’re going to hire a complete staff of unsophisticated southsiders who rarely get outside of the boundaries of Park and Ajo except for work, expect your customers to eventually go elsewhere for better service. It takes a lot for me to post such a negative review on Unilocal but this is the third time I’ve had a crappy experience with his staff. This time, we waited over two weeks for an answer to a simple scheduling appointment only to be told they didn’t know what we were talking about when we called to followup and got conveniently disconnected. Really? Seriously? There’s a ton of eye doctors in Tucson, I guess we’ll pick another.

I was recommended to Dr. Cohen by my regular opthamologist for severe dry eye caused by some medication. Even though it took a while to be seen(despite a 7:30am appointment), he was very thorough and did a good job explaining everything. We discussed my treatment options, including some I hadn’t considered, and everything went very well. I’ll definitely be back next time I need anything more serious than a checkup for new glasses!
