This is the coolest place. I love real antique pieces. I always wonder where they’ve been and what took place around them during their time. We were looking for an armoire and something to serve as a liquor cabinet/dry bar. We got lucky and found both at Colonial Frontiers. A 1920’s era Portuguese armoire and a 1900 Burmese teak vanity. Their prices are about as reasonable as you can get. I’ve seen cheap pieces at consignment shops that sell for more, and here you also get a piece of history. This is a place I’ll stop in to from time-to-time since their inventory is constantly changing.

Such an amazing place, full of lovely things in a variety of prices. The owners are a pleasure to deal with, helpful and friendly. I really appreciated the suggestions about how to use specific pieces, as well as the terrific customer service that quickly added feet to gates, tightened joins and replaced a pane of glass.

A visit to Colonial Frontiers is like taking a trip to exotic distant lands. The warehouse is filled with beautiful one of a kind furniture and objects of art to create an eclectic interior and exterior to your home or business. Owners Jeanne and Michael travel the globe and have a keen eye for hidden gems. They can customize your vision, not too common in our big box world. Check ‘em out!

New year! New desk! And thanks to everyone at Colonial Frontiers the final product is perfect! After months, and I mean MONTHS of searching for the perfect thing, I decided I wasn’t going to be truly happy unless I built it myself… or had someone else build it for me. I came up with the idea, found a photo on the internet and Jeanie and her staff turned my dream into a reality. I’ll be the first to admit that I could have gone cheaper, picking up something from IKEA or Target, but this thing was built to last a lifetime and I couldn’t be happier. Know Before You Go: They have a huge warehouse in the Lost Barrio, take a few minutes to peruse their current stock because you might find something there that they can adapt instead of starting from scratch. Bring photos and give them a time-line and they’ll stick to it! Keep it specific but trust that they know what they’re doing. You don’t need to micromanage, they aren’t going to let you down.
