The good is great and really reasonable. Nearly every table was dirty when we got there. Floor was sticky. Sometimes I’m not sure if they really want customers.

Of the four of us that went, three of us ordered Phở and the broth was delicious! Unfortunately the vermicelli dish wasn’t as good; it had cooled down by the time it got to us and didn’t taste very fresh. Overall we had a good experience and would go back again!

Adjacent to LeeLee’s Asian market this small Vietnamese restaurant serves Phở as well as a variety of different tasty dishes. We ordered the Cha Gio fried spring rolls served with leafy fresh lettuce cucumber and a dipping sauce. I ordered the Charbroiled pork with baby rice it was hot and delicious.

Pretty good! I shared the egg rolls with a friend. They were different than any egg roll I’ve had before. They were filled with pork and came with all of this freshness on the side — cucumbers, and lettuce, carrots and mint! So, you wrap the egg rolls in all the yummy freshness! I also ordered the Phở with beef — I have have better Phở, but it wasn’t bad! This place is convenient because right next to LeeLee’s market, and when you’re shopping for all that yummy Asian food, you just want some right now! The service was fast and friendly. This is so close to where I work that I will be back, and can’t believe that I haven’t checked it out yet!

Pretty good! I had one of the rice bowls, it was delicious. Waiter was a bit slow to start taking our orders but was attentive after that; my water was constantly being refilled. Would definitely recommend, great spot for lunch.

Good food, terrible service. They never fail to mess up the order and have the bill wrong. The waiters are two older men that have no idea what customer services is.

This place was very good. My husband and I stopped by to try the phở, which turned out to be delicious. The location is nothing fancy, but the servings were generous, the ingredients were fresh, the overall flavor was tasty, and the price was right. We will be back.

We’ve been here a few times for com tam and phở. The com tam has great flavor, and the red rice is the best I’ve had even compared to Socal places. We’ve loved the food, which has been the driving factor for us coming here. But the service, is pretty terrible. Ordering can take anywhere from on time to «why the hell is every aspect taking 20 minutes». We specifically came here to eat red rice, we ordered 3 dishes with red rice, they took a while to come out with white rice, we told them we ordered red, in which a crazy lady in the kitchen began yelling at the server who supposedly misinformed them, he brings out the 3 white rice dishes and asks can we just eat that. uhhh I guess we can… And then they leave the extra charges for the red rice on our bill. We had other much better experiences than this one time at other visits, but I can’t rate this place higher until they improve their customer service.

So I craved some Phở. The place is terrible, like a school lunch cafeteria. The service was two old men that clearly have as much pride in their own appearance as they do in their workplace. Silverware is in a metal holder by the table, everything is very diner-like but in a Asia meets east-Germany fusion kind of way. So before I am served my soup, I get a plate of sprouts, peppers and lemon. The peppers look like they have been cut a few days before and stored in a refrigerator. I was not going to touch that. My bowl of Phở was huge. By this time I was far from impressed and had contemplated leaving many times, but I told myself that the soup was boiled so I should be ok from anything unexpected, that now way less unexpected. Taste. Not bad at all. Not the best phở I have had, but far from the worst. Tasty soup, and not too salty as the mystery meat was swimming with every scoop. Decent amount of noodles in there too. Biog bowl of soup, but not worth the $ 8 I paid for it. Especially since the ambiance definitely is not baked into that price. I mean, I felt very excursionistic sitting there trying to enjoy the soup, which was the only thing possible to enjoy under fluorescent light and unwelcome glares. No, this was not a heartwarming moment in my life — soup was about average, everything else was terrible. Service, ambiance and don’t get me started on what that menu did to my OCD. Unexplainable font changes, changes in font size, misspellings that is accurately spelled somewhere else in the menu, random felt pen additions and subtractions. But my review does not take the menu in consideration. At all.

Ordered food specifically stating that I have a peanut allergy so please do not put peanuts on the food. When the food came out it had peanuts on it. They took it back and just scrubbed the peanuts off the food and gave it back. I stated that I could have gone into shock if I eat peanuts and the worker told me to not come back if you can’t eat peanuts. So long story short if you have a peanut allergy this place does not give a damn.

Been coming here for over three years and I can safely say that their rice spring rolls are the best! The phở is second best in my opinion, but that doesn’t detract that it’s a damn good bowl of phở! We call in and get take out all the time and the little old guy who wears the same outfit all the time greets us with a smile and tasty food!

Amazing pork & shrimp spring rolls. They are so fresh. Also the best Phở Ga in town. Huge portions & Kimberly the owner is so personable. Anytime you are near Orange Grove &LA Cholla you must eat here.

This place is pretty tasty. I got the phở with brisket and my wife got the vegetarian soup. The flavor was really nice and the price is pretty reasonable($ 7 – 8 for most large soups). It looked like they had a pretty good non-soup menu too. If you’ve never had phở before, this is a good place to try it — the owner is really nice and the menu details what is in each of the dishes. I’d have to agree with the chorus of other reviewers here — the phở here is more flavorful than what you can get at Miss Saigon. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other dishes available!

Since it’s so close to LeeLee, their veggies are really fresh. But the killer is the chili oil, just a little teaspoon of that, the phở advanced to the next level.

We moved away from Tucson and I have to say, I miss this place more than anything else about the old pueblo. Little older gentleman who always served us with a smile – we miss you! We were the two ladies who came in at least once a week and ordered veggie phở with only broccoli and steamed tofu. We wish you well and can’t wait to come eat at your place when we visit Tucson!

Com Tam is a very good Vietnamese restaurant actually located sort of inside Lee Lee’s, though you can get to it from the outside as well. Upon sitting down we’re given menus, and the first thing I noticed were the many available drinks on one of the last pages. I had the pickled plum juice with soda, my SO had the cold Thai tea, and we were both very happy. The pickled plum juice has a really good sweet and sour effect. Their Thai tea is one of the best I’ve ever had. For the food, we both ordered different varieties of the Hu Tieu dry noodles. The meat and veggies were all very fresh, and the sauces very flavorful and well spiced. If you desire any additions, there are plenty of tableside options including fish sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, chili paste, and a few others. The portions were pretty big, I’d expect most people to take some home. Seeing as this is one of the most extensive menus I’ve seen at a Vietnamese restaurant in Tucson, I’ll definitely be back to try more. If nothing else, it’ll be for the wonderful drinks they make. If you don’t mind a salty/sweet type of drink, give the pickled plum juice a try!

I’m from the Southern California area. In SoCal, we have a lot of Com Tam Thuan Kieu restaurants – from Orange County to Alhambra. I tried them all. Back before I came your restaurant, I thought the Com Tam Thuan Kieu at Bolsa Orange County California was the best of all Com Tam Thuan Kieu; however, I gave them only a 4 stars out of 5. Whereas, all the rest of the Californian Com Tam Thuan Kieu have an average of 3 stars or lower. But after exploring the state of Arizona, where I stumbled upon your Com Tam Thuan Kieu, I have to say your restaurant: BESTCOMTAMTHUANKIEUEVER!!! You guys tasted WAYBETTER than the California ones. What I like about your restaurant is the following: 1. Food served to the table in an acceptable, fast, timely fashion. &ALL customers on the table receive their own dish just in time without waiting. 2. Your signature Com Tam dishes. All excellent. Especially your Dac Biet: Thuan Kieu 7 Phan & the Thuan Kieu 10 Phan. Good size; definitely what a good Com Tam Thuan Kieu restaurant should be. 3. Restaurant environment. Very spacious & neat. In addition, it’s right nextdoor to a Boba place & an Asian supermarket. Very convenient for tourists like me to go wander before & after mealtime at your restaurant. 4. I like your Mi Kho too. Good size & flavorful too. As good as the Com Tam dishes itself. Heck, I even have to say most of your soup dishes are good. Way better than a typical Vietnamese Phở restaurant. This is what a EXCELLENT Com Tam Thuan Kieu supposed to be & it exactly bring up the name of the word«Com Tam Thuan Kieu». You guys need to go to California & show all the Californian Com Tam Thaun Kieu restaurants what a REAL Com Tam Thuan Kieu supposed to be ha ha ha. Perfect 5 stars out of 5 from me. Hopefully next time when I travel to Arizona, I’ll be sure to swing by your restaurant for another dish of Thuan Kieu 10 Phan. Best wishes, CONGRATULATIONS, kudos to your business.

Phò. It’s one of those magical dishes that I could eat every single day of my life and die a happy girl. The phò here is very good. The broth is hearty and has lots of bold flavors that shine through the copious amounts of srirracha sauce I use.(I like the broth to be bright orange. Phò isn’t great unless you cry while eating it in my world). I cannot judge the beef offerings as I do not eat red meat, but the phò ga and the shrimp are very good. The noodles are always slick and have that perfect chewy texture. Extra points for being located down the street from my workplace. We order from here quite frequently and they have always had the order ready to go and it’s correct. The only reason I don’t have a 5th star is because I personally prefer my phò broth to be a little more delicate-Miss Saigon on Speedway is my favorite place of all time(in Tucson) however, if you like a little more pow to your broth(I think they use beef broth for the phò ga, honestly. I’ve never asked though) this is the place for you.

I am a fan of their broken rice menu, everything they have there is superb and very filling. They don’t skimp on their food! I missed the vietnamese place we frequent back in Dallas and now that I found this place, it felt like I never left Texas. lol! The broken rice menu hit the home run for me. I always start with the nem nuong cuon, which is a fresh spring roll with char-grilled pork, chives, fried tofu skin and veggie with peanut dipping sauce. The broken rice dish I always get is #17 which includes com tam(broken rice) with steamed egg, shredded pork, charbroiled pork chops(which is very flavorful and tender), grilled shrimp and a side of veggie(that’s been soaked in vinegar/sugar consistency). Your order comes with a soup that has such savory broth, in which I always drench my broken rice with, YUM! As some reviewers may say about the server having a bit rude-ish attitude, I guess it’s just a first impression sort of thing, since that’s what I have thought of him at first. He’s really friendly and helpful once you get used to him, he’s not doing it on purpose :) Now, what the(grumpy looking) server lacks(on a friendly side) the guy in the registers makes up for it. He’s friendly and conversing with him is never a dull moment. The prices is very affordable for the quality of the food they offer. They even have a frequent customer that comes here every time I’m here(ok including myself) so that says something about them. Service is fast, you come here sit yourself and the server will come to your table with the menu. Finish your meal, and pay it at the registers. You can also get your food to go if you prefer dining at home. This place keeps me coming back for more, Yay!

Being born of the Asian persuasion, having frequented many Asian restaurants — my enjoyment of a family-run Asian restaurant rests somewhat on whether the server knows enough English outside of his/her restaurant’s menu and whether the restaurant is playing pop music of its country… which — regardless of whether you’re in a Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, or Indonesian restaurant — are often slow screeching love ballads telling about the singer’s lost love, or her noodle dish that failed to arrive after 20 minutes and three server changes. On this particular day, Com Tam Thuan Kieu hits the mark on all counts — big and varied menu, clean surroundings with nicely, painted walls, and we left just before the service went the way of the Tidy Bowl Man. The place was dead, as we arrived mid-afternoon on a weekend, and our server appeared to be the Americanized son of the owner. He was very attentive and gave me two thumbs way up for my choice of dish — a Bun with Grilled Chicken, Shrimp Cake and Egg Roll, while my husband ordered the a soup noodle dish. It’s rare to see shrimp cakes on the menu, and even more interesting to see a restaurant’s take on it. This shrimp cake came with a perfectly crispy tofu skin and lots of shrimpy cake goodness inside. The chargrilled chicken was cut into little bite-sized pieces and well seasoned. Egg rolls were also very good, but not much different from others I’ve had at other Vietnamese restaurants. The bowl did not come with the usual gargantuan vermicelli versus ingredient ratio. In fact, the bowl had plenty of all ingredients and enough vermicelli that I didn’t feel stuffed. The noodle soup broth was very flavorful — and the dish reminded me of a noodle soup dish at a Chinese restaurant — with bean sprouts, more shrimp cake and«meat byproducts». Towards the end of our meal, Filial Son was called away to do some chores and his well-meaning, but abysmally customer-service lacking grandpa took over, and the restaurant reverted to your typical family-run, what-do-you-want, but-I-can’t-fully-understand-you, oh-wait-I-have-to-get-the-phone-hold-that-thought-I-don’t-understand-your-thought type of place. I saw one table wait 10 minutes to give their order, then another 5 minutes to fully give the order, while grandpa ran between the kitchen, the phone and other tables, and kept forgetting their orders. I should’ve asked Filial Son which days he works, so I’ll go back on those days. Otherwise, I see nothing ahead, but frustration an a new ballad about my failed love for a Vietnamese restuarant in Tucson.
