I am very upset with this Dr and his office. He has done nothing to help my daughter. I have seen Dr Cravens twice. My daughter has suffered because he has done nothing!!! I went for a second opinion and the new ENT has four options to help my daughter. Glad I went for the second opinion. Also he doesn’t listen to you and if you cry and get emotional he will push you out the office and walk off with no other words to help you to know what to do next! It makes me very upset that he didn’t seem to care even after my daughter had a two day hospital stay because of what she has going on. Thank goodness I am a mother who cares about my kid because he didn’t. He said he didn’t have a magic wand to fix my daughter. Well when I went for a second opinion that doctor said he could help and there were options to fix her.

The overall office experience, including two excessively long wait times,(both over two hours), and a medical assistant that took four days to return a call, was frustrating and I’d rate it one star or less. Like many people, I don’t get paid when I’m not at work and there are places I have to be at specific times. I try to plan accordingly, knowing there may be *some* wait, but even the best plans go awry when a doctor is as overbooked as Dr. Cravens is. Dr. Cravens himself is congenial and engenders trust. He’s knowledgable and answers questions concisely and well. I do think, like many doctors, his empathy may be a bit worn down and he doesn’t really appreciate how insidious a chronic illness is in the day-to-day or how it wreaks havoc on absolutely everything from sleep to work to relationships to the simplest of things – like being able to go to lunch with friends or take your dog for a walk. When there’s no relief in sight and someone says, «come back in six months» it just feels hopeless. Then again, that may just be the nature of autoimmune diseases, of which I now have four. I’d trade them all in a heartbeat for an easier surgical cure. I liked Dr. Cravens, though, and if it ever came down to me or someone I love needing surgery, I would recommend him.

Having to say good-bye to a God-given body part is something that I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Having said that, if you have to make a life-changing decision regarding an ENT concern, there is no better advisor or surgeon than Dr. Cravens. I thank my lucky stars that in my moment of panic, in my moment of decision, I was ushered his way. He’s seen it all. He not only knows what he is doing, hands down, he is the best, period. I’ve been there, I’ve done that, and you need look no further. He’s humorous, comforting, easy to look at, and his office handled my decision to seek a second opinion with ease — no judgement, only caring support. Dr. Cravens sees patients at Tucson Ear Nose and Throat(caution, extreme patience is needed with the well meaning staff). He performs surgical procedures at Northwest Hospital. My pre-op nurse at NW Hospital couldn’t say enough things about the good doctor. She sent her own husband to him for a sinus surgery. She almost had tears in her eyes for her gratitude towards him. I was so moved, she made me even more confident in my decision. Despite a restrictive diet, an arsenal of supplements and prayers to God above, genetics got the best of me. There was simply nothing further for me than surgery. Dr. Cravens got me to the other side. Days after my procedure, I left Tucson. Not only did he offer to care for my prescription needs from afar, but my new endocrinologist marveled at my small scar, and Dr. Cravens’ skill at managing my dosage levels — an ENT performing the work of an Endo with ease! Thank you, Dr. Cravens for everything!
