Nothing screams customer service like seating a group of 6 people on a Monday night 15 minutes before closing time. We were prepared for rejection. But the badass folks at the Cup stood by their hours listed in Unilocal– woo hoo! Elliott, our server handled our rambunctious group with grace. I was sad to see the Peloponnese is no long on the menu. Luckily the mission tacos are still going strong. And no dinner is complete without an order of the picacho nachos. I attempted the healthy order with the Niçoise salad but those nachos really were calling my name. Best Monday«late night» dinner ever. I love the food at the cup and I especially loved how welcoming they were to our group that was essentially the last dinners before closing. We drank, we ate, we laughed. It was a jolly old time at Hotel Congress.

Food, drink, and service is consistently awesome! Inside and outside seating available. There are healthy and indulgent food options. My biggest hang up is that wait for brunch is atrocious! Thankfully they have a bloody mary bar to enjoy while I wait.

Have been here multiple times over the years. The food is always outstanding, drinks are good. This morning, service was a bit slow and disjointed, but I think it was due to getting there in the middle of Sunday brunch and us being a large group. The food has consistently been good, creative, without being pretentious. The Rachel sandwich was today’s selection. The pastrami in the sandwich was so darn tasty! Some of the other dishes that were ordered that looked amazing: Cast Iron Eggs, Corned Beef Hash, and the Cubano Sandwich Usually, I’ll get the cheese tray, because it has such good stuff on it. Glad I tried something a bit different.

Went here for breakfast and my omelette was fluffy, sizable and came with potatoes and 3 slices of good toast. The choices were ample and of high quality. I added onions, jalapeños(which aren’t on the menu), avocado, and Gruyère to my omelette. I didn’t sample their coffee since I had brought some from cartel but they were attentively refilling my water glass so I can only imagine they would have been as generous with a «cup of Joe». Also, tha hotel has an incredible bar and many interesting locals hangout. I also once wandered into a show where mudhoney was playing. Awesome. Needless to say I love this town, and this restaurant, in this hotel, is in the heart of it all.

Cool spot no doubt. Has kind of a weird hipster corporate hybrid thing going on. It wants to act like an indie band on a major corporate label. I dont think you can have it both ways. Food is decent quality. Something for everyone. Not very creative.Solid. Price points for most budgets. Overall, just pretty meh.

Great little find in downtown Tucson. The portions are well worth your $$. I have not seen many people crush their whole plates here and I’m sure if you did they would bring more. I had the two egg breakfast and it was great. Everything was fresh and top quality. The outdoor patio is great for spring and fall mornings.

The wait is agonizing on weekends, and service is quite slow in my opinion… but the food is excellent. I shared the Braveheart with a friend, and also had the Coconut Cream Pie(huge slice, very good.)

Wonderful brunch — silverside hash was to die for and the grapefruit mimosa was a wonderful touch

My companion wanted to take my daughter down to an awesome place for dessert. He suggested this place and of course I said yes because of how much I love the Hotel Congress. I hadn’t eaten lunch(and am strictly off desserts) so I decided to have the niçoise salad with seared ahi. It was perfection. Ahi perfectly rare, veggies crunchy, olives delightful, and eggs a gooey wonder. My companion had fish and chips — the fish was amazing(didn’t try the chips). Then those two got dessert — raspberry cheesecake for him and devil’s food cake for her. They couldn’t stop eating it. And the Kahlua mousse pie looked to die for, but I resisted(barely). We’ve found a new eatery, and it’s right next to the $ 2 beers

They serve breakfast until 4 pm! I got the steak and eggs and it was perfectly cooked. My friend got the cast iron baked eggs. While it looked absolutely delicious, she said it was a bit too rich! The actual café was kind of hard to find and doesn’t look as nice as it does in the pictures. They had great food and outdoor seating though!

I can’t complain. That is for sure. The food is a little bit on the pricey side, but it’s worth it. For such an ovverrated hotel, I’m actually not extremely dissappointed in the food or service.

Cute little place in downtown Tucson! The cast iron egg skillet is probably one of the most unique and delicious brunch dishes I’ve ever tried! All the flavor a compliment each other so well. It’s a MUST get. Also, tried the chilaquilles was great as well but the iron egg skillet was way better !! To top off the meal we had 2 homemade limeades, very refreshing.

I love this place! My boyfriend and I were looking for a brunch place in Tucson and we decided to try Cup Café. He had The Deposition, which included pancakes, bacon, and two eggs. The pancakes were so good! I had the standard two egg breakfast with potatoes, toast, and bacon. The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The potatoes were good as well; they had peppers in them. Love the ambiance of this place and the service at the bar was amazing too.

I visited Cup Café for the first time on Easter Sunday. They don’t take reservations and by the time my family and I arrived, it was already 10am. We were expecting to wait up to an hour, but amazingly, we sat down in about 15 minutes! Always a plus. The hostess was wonderful; even though she was super busy, she kept a positive attitude and kept things moving. Cup Café is located in Hotel Congress and couldn’t be more adorable. It has a great vintage, funky vibe, but also feels cozy and inviting. I love the wine bottle light fixtures! As you walk in, they have a revolving case featuring their incredible baked goods. They looked scrumptious! We were served by Keith who was so helpful and personable. He made our experience really pleasant. The other servers were also very nice. No problems with the service whatsoever! The prices were just right, especially compared with many of the other surrounding restaurants. I ordered the Mexican mocha and cast iron baked eggs, my brother had the silverside hash with an iced chai, and my mom had the brioche french toast. While the portions were very generous, the food was pretty underwhelming. My mocha was absolutely delicious and had just enough spice, but my eggs were swimming in cream! After reading so many wonderful reviews about the baked eggs, I was expecting a phenomenal meal. However, it was altogether too rich, kind of like cream of mushroom soup that happened to contain eggs. I would not order it again. My mom did not care for her french toast at all. She thought it was far too dry and not rich enough. My brother really enjoyed his eggs and hash, but he thought the chai could have been better. The best way to sum up Cup Café’s breakfast menu is «slightly elevated diner food.» I would love to come back and give them another shot. Normally, I would only give a restaurant three stars for such disappointing food, but because of the decent prices, great vibe and excellent service, I bumped it up to four. Also, it was really busy, so maybe the kitchen was a little off that day.

Another solid recommendation by my girlfriend we ended up here before we hit the road to Cali. Her husband raved about their Cast Iron Baked Eggs — Two eggs, ham, leeks, gruyère cheese, cream, fines herbs, with hotel potatoes, toast. Which he and my husband ordered. I didn’t even taste his because it was full of stringly, gooey, cheesy goodness but he said it was delicious. I ordered their Tofu Scramble — Fines herbs, vegan sausage, with fresh fruit, hotel potatoes, toast. Which I really enjoyed except I didn’t not have any toast. I love that it came with fruit, fruit they actually took the time to slice and plate nicely. We sat outside on a still sunday morning and our waitress was pleasant. I freakin love good service! Although this wasn’t my first choice, I am glad we ended up here. I am also happy when restaurants have Vegan options, it makes my life easier.

Yum! Yum! Yum! The only real criticism I had of Cup Café was that it’s incredibly loud and I could barely hear my dining partner speaking on the other side of the table. That’s the negative. The positive: most delicious. The menu is a bit odd – every section lists the hours available for certain foods, and they’re all different. We were there for dinner, but I’d like to come back for breakfast. It was pretty crowded but we didn’t have to wait for a table. Service was relaxed but acceptable. A couple small pieces of very delicious bread came out before we ordered. It was warm and crunchy and tasted divine. I thought the herb butter overwhelmed the bread to some extent, though. Hubby wasn’t hungry so he just had the gem salad, which was exquisitely plated and quite tasty. I tried the chicken and gnocci. Ordinarily I wouldn’t order a chicken breast anywhere(yawn) but the squash gnocci/mushroom/greens on which it were served were wonderful! I had a couple gnocci that seemed a smidge overcooked but by and large and loved this combo. The chicken had a good texture and there was a lot of creaminess infused in the dish. It’s quite a lot of food; I was unable to eat it all, but coincidentally Hubby discovered his appetite and helped out a lot. While we were eating we saw some other amazing-looking dishes come out. A guy across the room got a massive amount of fish and chips and the lady next to me had something that might have been 3 corn cakes, which also looked wonderful. Their dessert case is probably dangerous. Did not examine too closely.

Everyone has their bad experiences. Even though I don’t have many check ins here, I’ve eaten here plenty of times to know that this is my GOTOBRUNCH place. I can never go wrong with this restaurant. I understand the wait times could be a little crazy but the hostesses HAVE to estimate larger than the expected time JUST in case. I feel that’s a big thing people get angry with. It’s hard to understand the open tables and long wait but it isn’t easy to tell if they’re understaffed. Either way, the awards on their walls are well deserved. The skillet eggs are soooooo delicious and the perfect dish for newbies. Gunpowder and braveheart are my second and third faves. The pancakes are the best! I truly saw the light after eating their cinnamon pancakes, I even made them at home(tried to anyways.). There’s still so much for me to try but I just love sticking with my favorites. Very awesome bloody marys! Probably go on my top 3 of favorite bloody marys in Tucson! I believe they use cholula hot sauce in it instead of Tabasco? The coffee is so delicious here too! Great drinks, great food. They’re simply irresistible.

I came here for brunch with a friend and located inside hotel congress. It started off pretty busy especially inside. We had to kill some time at the bar while waiting for a seat. Which I didn’t mind since I was able to try their infamous Bloody Mary. We sat outside which was better then inside and feeling suffocated. That fresh air was much needed and enjoyable. I ordered a congressional omelet and made a chorizo, mushroom and spinach omelet. It was quite delicious and filling especially with the side well seasoned potatoes. The service was a little slow, I had to grab my own water and hot sauce. Wasn’t sure if it was our waiter that wasn’t doing so well. Anyways we ended with a carrot cake which was pretty good. Nothing bad wrong with it. Not overly sweet just perfect. I may give this place another try. Maybe I’ll get a better server next time.

Food was good, I got the chickpea lettuce wraps with marinated vegetables. The marinated vegetables were really good. Would definitely recommend them. They had a few other vegetarian options on the menu too. My friend got eggs which were served in the cast iron they were cooked in. She really enjoyed it and they looked delicious. Server was a little odd but attentive. I would recommend getting a reservation if you can. When my friend and I got there, we were told 30 min wait but our table was ready in 5 minutes. We asked if we could sit outside, it was very pleasant, but we were told it would be a 30 min wait even though we saw a few empty tables outside. It seemed like the hostess’ reflex response to every question was 30 mins. We decided to take our table inside, just had a bad feeling she would purposely make us wait.

Fun spot to grab some breakfast or brunch in Tucson! Parking is either street or in one of the garage’s not far from the front door. It’s literally located inside the Hotel Congress, so you can look around the lobby of the hotel while you wait to be seated. There’s not a lot of seating inside, and the outside seating could be uncomfortable if it’s a really hot day. So we had to wait a while for our table since we preferred indoors. We might have had to wait like 30 – 40 min I think. The service was excellent overall. Our food was served quickly and correctly, and we were checked on frequently. Even while we were waiting in the lobby we were constantly informed of the status of our table due to our wait. The food was excellent overall! I had the quiche, which that day was top sirloin, bell pepper, onion and cheddar. It was huge! The chilaquiles verde was also excellent. The portion sizes were also very reasonable for the price. Overall, great place to grab some breakfast or brunch in Tucson! Highly recommend this place!
