The food is so good!!! But the people that work here are just not as good. Customer service is everything people! Only will get pick up and try not to interact with any of them

Lovely. The place was totally full, but still comfortable– not raucous at all. Waited 3 minutes to get a comfortable seat in the bar area. Despite the civil crowd, service was fine — everyone was hustling, but didn’t act like it at all. The Chicken Marsala was good(I like Vera Amore’s better though) the salads all very good, the minestrone was awesome– super concentrated flavor(although too salty, closer to a little too salty than way too salty) but Dominic’s Lasagna was the best I’ve had outside of Quartino’s

I looooovve Dominick’s! This restaurant is fantastic. What a flavor cruise. From the Chicken Picatta to the white pizza; from the Pasta Rustica to the Greek salad — everything I have eaten at Dominick’s is scrumptious! In particular I have to mention the Tiramisu which is made in house as is almost everything served at Dominick’s — best Tiramisu I have ever had! Perfect in every way. Knocked my socks off! At Dominick’s they have a great, full-service bar and have tables and booths on the bar side with TVs. They have a very second side for dining. They play charming music and have live music every other weekend. The owners are always on-site and managing all the aspects. The wait staff are friendly, courteous, and efficient. I Love This Awesome Restaurant!

I’m not really sure how the average star rating is so high!!! We called in a pick up order for 212″ pizzas and a slice of cheesecake. I was quoted a 30 – 35 min wait which ended up being 50 min. So my wife and toddler had to wait it out for 15 min in the truck. I would have written that up as a lesson learned if the food was alright. Nasty is one word to describe the chicken on the southwest chicken pizza. They were large hard chunks that didn’t look normal. After breaking the pieces open the smell was disgusting. The Margerita pizza was bland and unimpressive for a REAL Italian food restaurant. Even the host mentioned that many others think the chicken is «weird». The cheesecake was decent. What a waste of money.

I never thought I would find such good Italian food in Marana, Arizona but this place was a delight! I had the calzone and boy did it have a lot of flavor, with real garlic and an excellent crust(this is basically their pizza folded in ½ so I’d love to have the pizza too. I’m from Chicago and I have to say this pizza/calzone REALLY impressed me). Others in my party ordered the shrimp alfredo, I believe, and it looked superb. This is even more of a surprise because this restaurant is in a small strip mall so no one would think it could possibly be this good, but ITIS! They recently remodeled and it looks really nice but food this good deserves a much fancier building, a castle perhaps:) My hat off to the owner and cooks, you make some fine Italian food.

Hate to do this to you guys. But when I call 22 minutes b4 you close and tell me you’ve stopped all to go orders, this is the type of reviews you will get. Never tasted the food because apparently, they’re busy closing early. If I owned this spot I’d be pissed my managers were so lazy.

First time here at Dominics. Although it was busy and full, all the staff was professional prompt and polite. The pizza was amazing. We ordered a meat lovers 16 inch and are taking half of it home. Great experience! Will definitely be coming back.

I loved this place! This is my new favorite for pizza, especially since it is so close to where I live. I heard great things about Dominicks and they were all true, plus they have free garlic knots! We went her with another couple and got to 16″ pizzas. Just FYI that it way too much pizza for four people, but we had lunch the next day. On one half we had BBQ and the other half was ChickenAlfredo. On the other pizza we got half meatlovers and half pepperoni. After two pieces we were all stuffed. I even had to cut one of pieces in half it was so big. We only got the pizza, but I would definitely come back to try their other dishes out. Service was great. If you are going to go after 5 make sure you call ahead or make reservations. We went on a Saturday and it got pretty packed!

Beyond disappointing! My meal at Dominick’s this evening utterly missed the mark. We started with the garlic knots, that were drenched in butter and completely unappetizing. For an entrée I had the Eggplant Parmesan which was inedible. This was only the second time in my life I had to send food back. The eggplant was soggy and bland and the side of penne was over cooked, cold and marinara sauce was not good at all. Our waitress kindly brought me another dish, but the penne pesto was just as bad. The abundance of cream and garlic felt like they were hiding something. The restaurant itself lacked any charm or ambience. The most disappointing part of all was the outrageous prices they were charging for such sub par food. The saving grace of our meal was attentive and kind service, however I will not be back.

Returned after a 6 month hiatus. This place changes every time we go there! This time they doubled in size, taking over the place next store. Much more spacious. They also seemed to have improved their menu a bit. Had the eggplant parm, which I always like, and my spouse had the chopped salad which was really good, but too much food for one person. IMHO, Dominick’s is still the best«value-priced» Italian food in Tucson. Not the best, not going to find fine veal piccata there, but if you want down-to-earth Italian they are tough to beat.

Absolutely a delicious experience at Dominicks. This is old school Italian fare, and it feels like East Coast Italian hole in the wall places that serve up your grandmothers cooking. The restaurant itself is cozy and has old school Frank Sinatra sequel tunes in the background. There are both tables and booths so you can choose your preference. Service is excellent-not too hovery but not absent. Our server was extremely knowledgable and had great descriptions of the food and recommendations. My husband opted for the chicken parmesan pasta and I opted for the eggplant Parmesan pasta. Both came with a starter-either a soup or salad. He chose the soup of the day which was very good– a kale sausage and white bean. I decided to go with a Caesar salad as I’ve read a lot of positive reviews on it. I thought it was good, but I did think the Caesar dressing could have had a little more pepper in it-I had to add some more to make all the other flavors pop. My husbands chicken Parmesan was good. A good amount of crisp breaded chicken that was moist and tender was alongside some marinara topped spaghetti. My eggplant Parmesan was excellent. The eggplant was breaded and fried perfectly. There were no soggy spots and it was seasoned perfectly. The pasta for both dishes was perfectly al dente and the marinara they make is good. I prefer a little more spice(arrabiata it up!!) but this was very good. We ended our servers recommendation of the white raspberry cheesecake. It was AMAZING. I’m more of a peanut butter chocolate girl but this cheesecake was SO delicious. Light and tart and creamy without being too dense. I will definitely be back! Their pizza is something I want to try!

Yes! I wish I didn’t live so far, but the food here is amazing. I tried the pasta that had the olives and capers in it. It had the perfect amount of brine taste combined with the red sauce. I swapped out the penne for linguini. A pasta like that is meant to be slurped! That’s just my opinion. My boyfriend had the pesto dish with the peppers and the artichokes. It was pretty good. We also ordered the knots with the melted cheese. They were dope. This was a carry out order. We were very pleased, and the food makes great leftovers. I really like that they include a small salad with your meal. We both had the caesar, and it was tasty too.

I went to Dominick’s a couple of days ago. The three stars is not because the food wasn’t good, because it was. My beef is this: Dominick’s is a relatively small restaurant It accepts online orders for pizzas and more. The dine-in customers are never told that the kitchen staff is swamped and that they will be waiting an hour or more for their order to arrive. My wife and I were pretty hungry when we went there. We placed an order for a simple appetizer and a 12″ pizza. After an hour, we asked when our pizza would be ready and were told that there were 25 pizza orders ahead of us. I think it would have been nice to tell me that when they first seated me at my table. I’m glad that Dominick’s is doing a brisk business. For awhile, I didn’t think they were going to make it and go bankrupt. They turned everything around and seem to be doing very well. Good for them. But in my opinion they are not big enough nor have the staff to be taking mega orders from internet customers who shoot right to the head of the line ahead of dine-in customers. I call that a foul. I finally got my pizza when I told them they had three more minutes or we we walking out. I got my pizza. It was very good. But I’m still angry. Next time I’ll just place a take-out order. I’ll update this review if I have a better experience next time. If there is a next time.

So ive been a customer of this place since they opened. I enjoy there delivery alot and have to say this is the most consistent quality, best tasting pizza on the NW side. the owners are very nice and to dine in is always a solid good experince. I went off my normal and had the greek pizza. Dominicks crust is perfect but the recent greek i was not a fan. for 25 bucks it needs a little more care. Hard to eat and enjoy sundried tomatoes in huge pieces hidding under cheese, better off. chopped up smaller and scattered. The basil was large leaves but they were stringy and again hard to eat when under cheese. Im still a fan even though and will always return

Meh. It was alright, but not great. Chicken was overcooked and a bit tough. The greek salad was fine, but very expensive for what you get.

Just about a year(and many dining experiences) later, and Dominick’s Real Italian is still at the top of my list! Not only for best Italian in Tucson, but as one of the best restaurants in Tucson! Their food is the epitome of consistent! It tastes the same and is the same quality as the very first time we visited a year ago! Everything is fresh and flavorful, and above all, prepared very well. They’re thoughtful in their preparation of food. For me, this makes all the difference in the world whether or not I’ll like a dish. Especially chicken dishes! We’ve tried the Parm, Scarpiello, and Piccata. In all versions of the chicken dishes, they made sure to pound the chicken thin and bread it properly, so that it cooks/fries evenly while staying juicy, and absorbing as much flavor as possible. No giant chunks of dry, flavorless chicken here! Thank you for that, Dominick’s! All of their sauces are rich and balanced.(I would add a touch of salt to the marinara, but that’s just me.) Their complimentary garlic knots are killer! They’re garlicky and cheesy and doughy. So good! I mentioned their Caesar salad in my previous review, but this time I’ll rave about it. It’s the best Caesar I’ve ever had. The dressing is lemony, but subtle, and the shaved parmesan balances it all out. I love this salad! Their portions are generous and their prices are more than reasonable. Their staff and ownership are super friendly, warm, and inviting. I love every meal I have at Dominick’s! Thanks for another great year of great food!

Pretty good. We got a simple take-out order: pizza and wings. Pretty simple and plain. I was impressed with the quality of ingredients used — they actually made their own wingsauce(a rarity for a non-wing restaurant), and the dough on the pizza was incredible. Plus the other pizza ingredients tasted very fresh and high in quality. After reading other reviews(and seeing some mouth-watering photos) we’re going to have to go back soon for a dine-in experience to really try some of the actual italian food! Looks good!

The quality of the food is great, fresh quality ingredients in good sized portions and served by a friendly and efficient staff. They do pizza by the slice until 4pm daily and the slices are quite big. The place is on the small side but they are expanding into the space next door so soon that will not be an issue. If you live on the northwest side of town you owe it to yourself to try this place.

My wife and I have gotten take-out from Dominik’s twice now. Both times we got the margherita pizza. Despite the restaurant name, I wouldn’t call it «real Italian,» but it is good. The sauce is tangy and a little sweet, and the cheeze is gooey. The crust has a nice texture as well. We got the garlic knots parmigiana as an appetizer this time. They were decent, but I’ve had better. Next time, I might try a non-pizza dish. This is the best pizza I’ve found on the northwest side so far. Give it a shot sometime.
