Previous review stands, just updating my criteria to make 5 stars. I think they do a very good job at this library, and I’m a big fan of librairies and education in general. But I don’t think any longer it was a 5 star experience. Still very good at 4 stars and one of the branch libraries that has helped me with problems in the Tucson area.

The Flowing Wells branch is better than nothing at all… but disappointing since I’ve been spoiled in the past by the Himmel branch. I miss you, Himmel. I really do. This library is basically one big room. They have a few computers, but not a whole lot of study space. The majority of the book selection seems to be centered around teens, although that might not actually be the case. The staff has always been helpful, though they seem a bit bored. I go to this library to pick up the books that I request online. Get in, get out. It’s functional, but not somewhere you want to hang out and browse. Ah, PS: This may be a little childish, but the parking lot sometimes smells like poo.

I’m not sure what gave it away first, the large glowing«TEENS» sign or the vast number of teenyboppers bouncing around this place. Either way, this library was made for teens. With that being said, if you come here intending to find peace and quiet, you might find yourself on the verge of becoming the obnoxious library shusher. On the other hand, if you have a good pair of headphones, you will be just fine. I will note that this library is one, relatively small room, with tables and chairs scattered about. You will see, and be seen, since it’s missing those special nooks and crannies. The front desk consists of two computers underneath a laminated«Information Desk» sign. Keep an eye out for it or you might spend some time walking around in circles, wondering if they have one. Overall, the Flowing Wells Branch is A-OK. Even though it has some core spatial issues, it’s clean, friendly, and has a decent wireless connection. Plus, users can put books on hold to be delivered to a shelf here, which is super cool for those of us who live nearby, because it means we don’t have to go far to pick up books. If you’re a teen or live close, DO use this library.

This has got to be the smallest library in Tucson! Positive: they have great events for kids that are free, staff is friendly Negative: there is no space, the events are held in the actual library because there are no conference rooms, there is no «front desk» there are just people sitting in the middle of the library on computers that I wasn’t even too sure they worked there, the majority Neutral: the majority of the books there are kids book… which I kind of understand because of the amount of schools that are in the neighborhood.
