The three times I’ve gone here the reception received on entering has been very rude. I picked up my wine club order twice. It was the same both times. I cancelled my membership. When I told the lady she did not ask why we were cancelling. must not have been important. There are friendly people at other places.

Loved the wine! Definitly stood out from a lot of the other vineyards because of their interesting wines. We should up 15 minutes to close and the manager still gave us the grand tour! So lovely and one of the most educated on the different processes. They also have INCREDIBLE chocolate truffles that are a must!

A very pleasant ambiance. Extremely friendly service. Arizona wines! — earthy and good! We did the wine tasting but they also have wines by the glass. Just a pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

We had a wonderful time Friday night enjoying a tasting at Flying Leap Vineyards. The ambience was fun and light hearted, the wine selection fun and varied. LOVED the Verdelho… Cindy made sure we knew about each wine and how it tied to the history of Flying Leap. You will have fun and I’m sure want to take wine home for your friends… or bring them to enjoy the tasting room. Let’s help this great little winery become a Tucson success! Angela T.

I like the concept, hope it can survive the fickle Tucson market. If not maybe a Co-op with all the local vineyards could pull it off. I like seeing the craft and artisan feel the St Philips Plaza is becoming. Great location with an increasing amount of options for food and drink.

From Sonoita to Tucson… with Love. A «Leap of Faith» brought together three longtime friends, owner Mark Beres, Marc Moeller and Thomas Kitchens to make Flying Leap Vineyards a reality. They’ve done an awesome job! Flying Leap Vineyards was founded in 2010 by these three Air Force Academy grads. And, this past Saturday March 1st, my husband and I sampled the fruits of their labors at opening of their new tasting room at St. Phillips Plaza 4280 N. Campbell, Tucson Arizona. We pronounced their efforts: «delicious!» Theirs is the very first domestic farm winery to come into the Tucson market with a tasting room. As we wandered the brightly lit room swirling, sipping, munching on chocolates and crackers and commenting on the contents of our glasses, we also had the pleasure of admiring beautiful works of art adorning the walls and a few of the artists whose works were on display, were on hand to answer questions and meet and greet the folks who’d come to the grand opening of Flying Leap Vineyards’ tasting room. Wait… what?!? Wine and art go hand in hand. So last May, owners of Trust Art & Design, Kim and Thomas Johnson partnered with Flying Leap to set up a gallery within Flying Leap’s Bisbee AND Tucson tasting rooms. The«‘pairing,» if you will is a perfect combination. Kim and Thomas summed it up perfectly in pointing out that Flying Leap Vineyards produces locally crafted wine and at their gallery, Trust Art & Design, they focus mainly on local art. So, the reasoning is that LOTS of folks, who enjoy locally grown and made wine, might also enjoy and appreciate local art. They are correct, and we agree absolutely. For a fun road trip, I highly recommend the drive to some wonderful wine country, to visit Flying Leap’s other tasting rooms at: Elgin Tasting Room and Winery 342 Elgin Road, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, Wilcox Tasting Room and Art Gallery, 100 N. Railroad Avenue, noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday s through Sundays and Bisbee Tasting Room and Art Gallery 67 Main Street, noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, open till 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. An interesting, informative article in the«Caliente» section of Thursday’s February 27th Arizona Daily Star holds lots more information on this venture and the article can still be seen on the Star’s website. But if one can’t make it out to ‘wine country,’ Arizona just yet, the tasting room in St. Philips plaza happily brings wine country to you.
