Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

It was OK but just not for my taste buds. Service was quick. Burger juicy. Large helping of skinny fries. Freddy’s sauce too sweet for my taste. Milk shake was odd chocolate color.

Waited 15 minutes after I ordered (during a very slow time of day) only to receive cold food. The wait really wouldn’t have bothered me if the food had been fresh. Won’t be back, very disappointed.

Average price. Custard is good. Not a fan of the burger flavor. Somewhat sweet. Decent quality.

Most definitely not my cup of tea. The only thing I have liked from here are their fries which are thin, crispy and delicious. The fries are actually the only reason they are getting two stars.
Their burger patties are strange. They taste like leftover shredded beef that someone decided to mash together and try to fry. I have tried their burgers twice and was disappointed both times. I know this is their style, but I am not a fan of it. So the third time I was there, I decided to try a hot dog instead. The bun they serve the dog on is also strange. It is a thick texas toast type bread. The bread is too think for the dog, so all you can taste is bread.
I might return one day to try their custard, but I fear it might just be another disappointment.

Hit and miss on getting your order right. There were 6 of us. We ordered a Philly cheese steak and it came without cheese. They seemed a little annoyed that I went up and asked to have the cheese put on. Also ordered was a turtle concrete and a fudge/​marshmallow. They mixed up which was which, thank goodness no nut allergies. And the amount of meat in the cheese steak was half of what was in the picture. I think we’ll just return for ice cream in the future.

Good New England style hot dog buns! Fries were cold at first, but they were very nice about it & fixed it right away!
Over all good customer service. Only reason for giving a «3» is the lobby was pretty dirty.

This is an update review. The ‘boss’ and I both ate their again last night and once again had great service, but more importantly, my boss is now a believer of their french fries. The fry-​ologist took care of my passion for fries. We tried their hot fudge sundae for the first time; suffice to say, a certain long established venue will no longer be visited. Oh yes, all the toppings that you can put on the burger add to the value. We shall return.

Mmmm best burger I’ve had in a while! Great fries and love the seasoning! I couldn’t resist and ordered a small pumpkin pie custard concrete mixer which actually had an entire piece of pumpkin pie mixed in. Sinful. Just sinful. Can’t wait to go back for another treat meal! Oh yeah, and very friendly service!

Freddy’s is right by my house so I go there a lot. Usually I just order a malt through the drive through. The malts, shakes, sundaes, and concretes are amazing! Probably my favorite place to go for that. The fries are yummy too. I like it better with their ‘Freddy’s sauce’. The only issue I have is I can’t eat the burgers there. Every time I do it’s way too greasy and my stomach gets upset. I know it’s a steak burger but still… just too much for me. I enjoy going there still and will continue to do so. I just wish the burgers were less greasy. Service is friendly and quick and its clean.

I never thought I’d find myself reviewing a fast food joint, but I’m in love with this place because it’s the only quick burger place that actually has patty melts on the menu. I LOVE patty melts! And the shoestring fries are absolutely perfect every time. Seriously, people — EVERY time. Name me one other fast food joint where you get HOT fries EVERY time. Bet you can’t!

Best place for amazing burgers and the best Sundae. Hawaiian Sundae. Toasted coconut macadamia nuts strawberries and pineapple heaven in a bowl.

So, I’m supposed to not eat fast food. We are SUPPOSED to be budgeting. I’m supposed to not eat crap food. You get the point.
I almost chose to go to Brushfire for my lunch date with the hubby. Super glad I didn’t. Yes, BF. I still love you.
Today I found this patty melt and teeny fries that knocked my socks off. Today, I found 6,000 calories of pure awesomeness. I’m actually mad that I’m full, because I would totally get another one.
Cranky that In N Out is cheaper. Not cranky that it takes me exactly the same amount of time to travel to.
I give it a ten! An EFFING ten!

I crave this place every so often when I have the taste for fast food. Their burgers are different and delicious (and their fries are SO good and super thin. Each time I have gone, I have always gone «California style» where they put their special Freddy’s sauce on the burger, but after this last visit I think next time I will try their traditional version which looks like it is loaded with pickles. They are a wee bit pricey for what you get but that doesn’t bother me. Have never tried their custard… but they have a front case where they have their custard (ice cream) cakes and they look divine!

Absolutely delicious burger! They have a unique crusty edge thing going on that is really tasty. The bun is soft and fresh. The patties are thin though so a double is a must. The Freddy’s original burger comes with cheese, onions, mustard and pickles. It is a perfect combo, don’t over think it. I believe they offer single and triple patty options. The shoestring French fries are a neat twist to the fried potato sides we’re used to. The thin cut of the fries insures they aren’t greasy and are void of the despicable soggy/​mushy fry that can easily ruin a good bite. We were pleasantly surprised by the fish and chips. The pieces were meaty and fresh. It’s nice to know about those other options. The frozen custard is heavenly! Don’t miss out on trying that sweet treat. After all, Freddy’s was founded on the stuff. Awesome place with outstanding comfort food.

The steak burgers are really good as well as the shoe string fries.
The place is really clean and I can see the workers cleaning as well. I hate it when you go somewhere and the dining room is a mess.
Overall the food is great, a little pricey, but worth going every now and then.

The Eastside location is *so* much more awesome than the NW location.
They’re friendly, adapt to special needs, and have a clean, well organized dine in area. The video screens on the bathroom faucets are a little weird… But the food is incredible.
It’s a step up from fast food, but just as fast. The black bean vegetarian patty is seasoned but not spicy and is mushroom free! I’m not usually a fan of shoestring fries but they do theirs just right and I love them!
The desserts are exceptional… Frozen custard realty is different than ice cream. Try the peanut butter and chocolate and banana sundae!!!

This was my first time & it will definitely be my last trip here, salty flat burger that Freddy’s tries to pass off as steak burgers, one word NASTY, I only gave two stars because my turtle Sunday was so yummy!!! For the price they charge for their menu items one would think it would be delicious but no to my dismay I was left feeling disappointed & with a slight tummy ache. I should’ve just gone downtown & went to diablo burger now that’s a real burger there or Zin burger if you’re in the mood for a wonderful burger!

The food tastes good, but I feel like the portions are smaller than other places, and I don’t care for the «squashed flat like a pancake» way the burgers are cooked. The fries are very skinny and crisp.
The soft drinks are Pepsi products. No diet other than Pepsi and Dr. Pepper.
The frozen custard is a great treat. I recommend sharing one if you don’t want to pile on the calories.
This place has a 50s diner theme and feel to it. I’ve heard them playing Sirius XM «50s on 5» music to add to the atmosphere.
There’s also free Wi-​Fi.

I really, really, really… like their fries! Crunchy little shoe string fries and they are so good.
I’m not big on burgers so I can’t comment on that. Their chicken strips were good, but nothing too fancy.
Service is great; we were greeted with a friendly smile and ordering was easy.
Once our food came there was a mistake with the frozen custard desert and they corrected the order with no hesitation.
