This monthly used book sale is held in a dedicated space, approximately 5,000 square feet, divided into sections like a regular bookstore. The prices are great; books are generally in very good condition. Proceeds support Tucson libraries. If you love books and bargains, you’ll love this place.

I ALWAYS love coming to these sales. 50¢ for kids board books? Sign me up! 50¢ soft cover adult books? Someone hold me back! No book over $ 4?! I must be in the twilight zone! Okay no, but really, they have all the books your heart could ever desire. Mystery, True Crime, Reference, War and Military, Theatre and Music, Animal Reference, even Magazines and Cookbooks! All I know is I can only go in with a set amount of cash or else I’ll spend waaaayyy more then I should.

Great place to buy used books and media. Great books/cheap prices. And the money goes to the public libraries.

If you love books, you NEED to be going to the monthly-ish sales held by the Friends of the Pima County Library! The prices are outrageously great, even without the discounts they offer on different days for members, seniors, and fill-a-bag days during their«sales.» Soooo many books in this relatively large space! And not all crusty old books that you’ve never heard of, either. There’s plenty of popular titles, as well as some obscure stuff. They have a variety of genres, including a generous children’s and teens section. They even have a selection of verrrrrrry old books. I’ve picked up some late 1800’s books that I’m fascinated with, that were actually in decent condition! And again, for great prices. There’s also a side room called«Best Friends» that has more popular novels in older vintages. It’s a bit more expensive depending on the rarity of the book, but I’ve found some goodies in there that are currently on my collectibles shelf! The place can get packed on the weekends, and it’s an awesome sight to see so many book lovers! However, it’s hot in there during the summer, and even worse with so many people around. During this past sale, I was luckily available to shop on Friday, and it was much more peaceful. Walking around wasn’t nearly as bad as on a Saturday or Sunday, when it’s basically impossible to be alone in any given aisle. So, go on Friday if you can! Mondays might be good, too. Go there and stock up on books! Endless entertainment!

I used to shop at Bookman’s all the time. Then, I discovered this little gem. They have sales once every 4 – 6 weeks, so they aren’t open often. Oh, but when they are… it’s magic! If you are a bibliophile, this is your mecca, your stonehenge, your great chimichanga in the sky! Happy reading; and Stay thirst, for knowledge, my friends.

If heaven has a bookstore, this is it. Friends of the Library has a booksale at Country Club/Grant every so often and sell off donations and old library books and DVDs at amazingly low prices. This is absolutely the place to go for titles. And you won’t be alone: it’s packed. I’ve never seen it when it wasn’t packed. It’s swarming with people. And for good reason,. because if you like books and DVDs, you will find titles. Go ahead and fight the horde of people and look. Subjects will make it easy to find titles. Prices are up front and cheap. They give you bags to carry. There are special days where you can fill up a papersack for $ 5. And other kinds of sales, including if you join as a member and get to go in without the general public. I am blown away by the good stuff here. It’s a chance to load up on every kind of book, from auto repair guides to scary novels. Teens, childrens, romance, you name it. Go early in the sale and get the best titles. Amazing sales. And the proceeds benefit much of the library and its programs.
