We’ve been here several times. Both take out and enjoyed eating there. Food is always consistent. Staff is always friendly. Never had anything we didn’t enjoy. We always get the egg rolls and crab puffs. My husband likes to get the Kung Pao Chicken. I’ve tried multiple meals a never been disappointed.

Wonderful place. Highly recommended. The customers are always complementing the chef. The shrimp and snow pea is my personal favorite dish.

I’ve dined in and placed a to-go order and have yet to be let down by either the service or quality of the food at Happy Wok. The General Tsao chicken is exceptional! Sweet and spicy and made with quality white meat not the usual elbows and knuckles. The vegetable fried rice is delicious and has a nice variety of veggies throughout. The Mongolian Beef was very tasty but the meat can be a little on the chewier side for my taste. The egg rolls are made with chicken, not pork, and are really good. While I’ve had chow mein with and without noodles at different Chinese restaurants, Happy Wok’s version is noodle free. Order the Lo Mein if you’re after noodles. The dumplings were memorable. I usually opt for fried if the choice is mine but the company I kept requested the steamed version. They were perfectly cooked and the sauce was really good as well. I look forward to having another great meal at Happy Wok. And don’t let the fact that they’re located right next to a dog groomer deter you. The whining and whimpering you hear is coming from next door not from the kitchen.

I had one of the lunch specials(orange chicken) and it was good. Not great, but the service was excellent, the place is spotless, price was reasonable. I will be back and I will recommend to my friends looking for lunch near Rita Road.

Honestly, this was a stop my family had decided on a whim. Bad idea indeed! We ordered take out, and it was absolutely terrible for what it was. I will speak of only my own order which was supposed to be chicken based, instead I was served Brussel gristle. I was completely shocked at the amount of gristle in my order. I ended up giving it to the dogs who also appeared to be disappointed. We won’t be returning to this place. I give it a two, because they were polite and friendly upon taking our to go order. Definitely try something else, or eat in, so you know what you’re being served ahead of time.

Some of the best Chinese food! It was so delicious. The waitress was so friendly and very attentive. When my husbands tea got low it was immediately refilled. The environment was super nice and clean. We had the general tso’s chicken and the orange chicken lunch special with a side of lo mein. It came super quickly too. It was all so good we couldn’t stop eating. We left overstuffed! The prices were very reasonable and you get a good amount of food. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good Chinese food place.

Never heard of this place, gave it a try. So glad we did! Our kids loved the egg drop soup. House Lo Mein was delicious without too much green onions. Szechuan beef could’ve been a bit spicier, Orange chicken was spot on. Service was good and everyone seemed very friendly. We can’t wait to come back!

I went there to get takeout for dinner. The wait staff were very nice and friendly. I got General Tso’s chicken, shrimp with coconut and hot and sour soup. The chicken was good, the hot and sour soup better, and the shrimp the best! The food came out quickly. My order also came with rice. You can have either white or brown rice. I’ll be back to try the other dishes!

I love how friendly everyone is here! I was immediately welcomed and greeted. I came to order carry out. I was impressed at how clean the restaurant is and there was ample seating. I think next time I will bring my family for sure. I came really hungry so I was expecting my bill to be high lol the prices weren’t bad at all. But I did appreciate the military discount.

The menu may not be as extensive as some Chinese places in town, but everything we’ve tried has been great. Everything is freshly prepared and hot when it comes out. The sauces are all tasty and just the right consistency – not too much corn starch. The service has been great – the staff is friendly and attentive without being annoying. We got Christmas dinner to go because hubby was in the hospital and they gave us a package of almond cookies. How many places do things like that?

We came to Rita Ranch to go to Saing Thai and found this place in the same parking lot. I know that Chinese is not Thai food and vice versa, but I figured what the heck. Let’s give it a shot. I had Mongolian beef, my husband had lo mein, and both kids had fried rice. I know. Not very adventurous, but I’m not trying to walk the great Wall here, I’m trying to get my spicy food fix. The Mongolian beef was listed as hot and spicy on the menu. It’s my go to in Chinese restaurants, and I was looking forward to it. Too bad it wasn’t spicy. My husband’s lo mein was pretty oily, but not terrible, and my son’s fried rice kicked butt. I mean, rarely does my teenager chose something that tastes better than what I order, at least in my own opinion, but he did. Now he’s gloating about his Chinese food expertise. The service was very good. Our server came by at all of the appropriate times, but wasn’t too overbearing as some can be.

Came in to order to go on my lunch break. Debated on calling ahead but there was no need because I had my order in about 6 minutes. Staff was friendly, food is very good and fresh. I ordered the vegetable egg rolls(no tofu in them) and bbq pork fried rice. I will definitely be back!

OK my first impression is that the place is very nice. Much more appealing than the former Chinese Combo which had been here previously. Nice bar set up, which is where I sat on both visits as I was ordering food to go. Beer selection could be better but it is a small bar, and there are no draught lines. They do have Kirin in the large bottles. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the staff are very courteous. My Beer was served with a smile and my order was taken promptly. I was then given some crispy fried wonton strips with a dipping sauce made from the sweet and sour sauce you find in most Chinese restaurants, and Chinese hot mustard. Goes quite well with beer, and is a nice touch. My first trip I tried the General Tsao’s Chicken, I was not a fan. Though the flavor was good, the chicken was not battered and fried as it should be, it was basically chunks of chicken stir fried in the sauce. Tastes good, but the texture was off. The portion size was perfect though for two people. Food came out super fast, which leads me to believe it’s pre-made, not a good sign. Next Trip I had the Seafood Delight, this dish was much better. Huge shrimp, nice sized scallops, and unfortunately that bane of all Chinese Seafood dishes, that damn FAKECRAB! But the sauce was very flavorful, I asked for it to be spicy, and it was somewhat spicy but not overly so. It was again a perfect portion for two people to share, it was hot and fresh. Replace that fake crab with some real crab and this would be very good! Overall I like the décor, I like the bar, and the food is decent, not great but good. Service is very good, and the staff is warm and friendly! It is worth a stop in when I just don’t feel like cooking!

Happy to finally have a quality Chinese restaurant on the far southeast side of town. We tried the Szechuan Spicy Beef, Beef with Broccoli, Sesame Chicken and Orange Chicken. All delicious. We will definitely be returning in the future.

It’s a quality Chinese food place. It’s a very typical Americanized Chinese food menu. I’m highly suspect of people that say this is the best, they probably haven’t really been around too much. But that’s really not what this place is about. It’s about good value in a very clean(albeit new) environment. If you need Chinese food and you’re in the area, this is a worthwhile stop. Great lunch menu deals and the food was served very quickly. Perfect for a quick lunch.

This place just opened up and i would say is the best Chinese food I’ve had in Tucson. I had the General Tso chicken and it was delightful. It’s lightly breaded and not overly sweet like many other places. In fact, everything I had followed a theme of high flavor low grease. The fried rice is better than my Chinese grandma makes; believe me that is high praise! Give this place a shot.
