Once again this place has not let down. We had the Green Chili Frybread and it was delicious! I can’t brag enough about the Dorados either. On Tuesdays and Fridays they are only a $ 1 each! Yes, you can go to town on them. I will let you. The prices are great as well. We fed our entire family of four for under $ 20 including tip and drinks. The ladies that run the place are really sweet and funny. You can tell they love what they do. That is why their food is so amazing and a must have. I’m not kidding, take a drive with a loved one and grab some oh so delicious Sweet Frybread with honey, powder sugar, and cinnamon. You will not leave here hungry and unsatisfied. This will be a Tucson favorite.

I was visiting my parents and found this place and turned my parents onto it! They loved it! The prices are reasonable and they have $ 1 tacos on tues(and fridays as well i believe) and free wifi. The staff was friendly and courteous. My daughter and i enjoyed eating on the patio. It was quiet when we first came, but by the time we left the parking lot was packed! We’ll be returning on our next trip to Tucson!

I’ve been here 3 times and every time the food was amazing I’ve eaten everything on the menu:) I recommend the Indian taco with ground beef for those who can’t stomach spicy or saucy food. The Red and Green Chile is so good but I prefer the green Chile one

This gem was just one block from the RV park where we were staying. We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was. Simple menu, fresh and tasty. I loved this place before I even tried the food. The staff was so friendly and accomodating. When the girl at the counter heard we hadn’t been there before, she brought out samples of both their red and green chili sauce(both tasty but my whole family voted green!); I asked about the menudo(available Saturdays) and she brought a sample of that too. We all(myself, my husband, and two kids 5&8) had an Indian taco with green chili sauce. Even the kids couldn’t stop saying how much they loved it. We took a sweet fry bread home with us(the one taco each filled us up!) since it’s only $ 1.50 on Saturday and no surprise, also delicious! I have a feeling we’ll be back in before we leave Tucson.

We went to try the green chili fry bread today after seeing it was on Tucson’s top 100 dishes list. It was better than any of the authentic fry bread that we’ve had in Northern Arizona. Lots of real beef, and shredded lettuce and tomatoes on top! The man that helped us was so nice! Such great service! He asked us if we had ever been there before, made good recommendations, and answered all of our questions. I heard him calling the regulars«boss», nice touch! We want to try the tacos and some of the sweet fry bread too, we split it and we were full!

The name of the restaurant is true. The Indian fry bread is fantastic! In my opinion the Indian taco with green chili was very weak. There was hardly any chili and it was not spicy at all. Quite disappointing. Next time we go I will just pickup takeout bread and prepare my own chili.

This place is an all star — delicious, cheap, family run. I like the green chili a bit better than the red. And the tacos are to die for. We fed a group of 10 for about $ 40. If I lived here, I’d come all the time.

Little shop on the corner of Grande and St. Mary’s. Very casual and small shop with a quaint back patio. This is definite WestSide near all the classic food places and it fit they neighborhood well. Very friendly staff and it gets really busy at lunch time. Imagine a clean and friendly Native Taco Stand and but it in a small building and you have it, with some nice faith quotes around it. They have Excellent fry bread, Indian tacos and fry bread with honey or powdered sugar. You can add meat to your bean taco and the salsa is pretty decent as well. The prices are listed on the wall and they have daily specials as well. All the drinks are cans n bottles. A good place for some good fry bread!

Absolutely delicious! They have a simple menu which they have perfected. Everything on the menu is prepared fresh to order and is decadent and flavorful. The Indian tacos are the way to go. Whether you choose red chile, green chile or ground beef they are all completely satisfying. The beans are tasty and authentically prepared. The sweet versions of fry bread(honey, powdered sugar or cinnamon) are amazing and put any donut or funnel cake to shame. This tiny place is churning out some incredible eats. Hosannah in the highest!

Wow! Everything was good enough the carvings began before I finished eating. Remind me of the fry bread I grew up with an Albuquerque. Will be back asap!

I have been obsessed with Fry bread ever since I saw the indy movie«Smoke Signals» way back when. Fry bread has been on my «bucket list» for quite a while… When researching places to eat in Tucson, I came across this place. It is fairly new and not near where we were staying at all…, but what the hell, my man & I were up for a drive. We did make the drive there(on the way to visit Mexico) on the day after Thanksgiving, but while they would normally be open on a Friday — they were NOT open on the day after Thanksgiving(boo!). They are not open on Mondays either(FYI). We made the trek here on the following Tuesday. They do have daily specials and I wish I had taken a photo of the board(a different specially priced combo every day). We were there for the green chili fry bread. We ordered one green chili w/everything to spilt AND a dessert fry bread with everything(honey, sugar and cinnamon). The fry bread was good, BUT if I had it to do over, I would have gotten the navajo taco(ground meat, lettuce, beans and tomato) instead. The green chilli makes the fry bread a bit soggy. The dessert one was ONPOINT! Do NOT get anything here«to go” — this is a meal best eaten the moment out of the fryer. They were two of Tucson’s finest policemen in the parking lot — so you know it is gonna be good! The service is fast — the owner cares about whether you like it, there is an outdoor patio outside. I wish they had a wider selection of bottled drinks(no cal iced tea maybe?)

If you’re not supporting this tiny restaurant you’re not spending wisely! Absolutely love the customer service. The staff is awesome, friendly, and efficient. The green chilie Indian taco is the best I’ve ever had. Great chilie flavor mild to medium heat, served with a smile! The 2 $ friend tacos are delicious. Go, buy, smile and enjoy!

Had an Indian taco and a green chile fry bread to go. Even though by the time I ate them they were just barely warm, they were still both exceptional. It’s my first time having Indian fry bread and I would say it’s worth going back for again if I come back around this way. While waiting for my order, there was some weirdness with a local patron who was eating there but seeming to be panhandling also. He eventually left, but it did make the room uncomfortable when the cashier asked him to not bother the other diners. The location is not that great and the dining room is pretty small. But that food is so good it’s worth the adventure for the brave ones out there.

Awesome, really awesome. Came from California, drove way across town to find this place, and I’m so glad I did. The Indian Taco with beef was everything it is supposed to be, and the sweet fry bread with honey and cinnamon was literally just like my grandmother used to make. We’ll be back whenever we’re in Tucson!

So glad this place exists! The Indian tacos were delicious, fry bread was light and fresh with awesome crispy bits. We tried plain ground beef and green chili beef and both were really fantastic. The young woman working there was extremely friendly and gave us great service, even checking on us when we were out of the patio and they were busy closing up shop for the night. Definitely not fancy but everyone who was there eating was super stoked about the delicious food, a really friendly atmosphere.

Well fry breads and elephant ears are my guilty pleasures. I have tried them all over the place in many different states at fairs, festivals and restaurants. This was the best fry bread I have ever had. Crisp and doughy without any grease. I gobbled down the whole thing … wow. I really want to go back in for some more of their food. The chef and the waitress were super friendly. I was the only white boy in the area and everyone was very friendly and nice. I chatted up some other customers about the tasty food. It will be fun to come back and grab a rack of their tacos and try their salsa. Easy to park. You can exit around the back if the main street is too busy. There is a back patio area. It had cooled down to 104 °F outside and the air conditioning and fans kept it cool inside. There are a few small tables. They have an amazing list of weekly specials to make the food even more affordable. Join me on Tuesday for $ 1 taco day — dude, these are homemade food tacos not something off the corporate food truck. Enjoy.

So bummed, came at 2pm on Monday and closed… we live in California and I was dying for fry bread before going home… what’s going on? So returned on our way out of town on Tuesday, turns out they are not open on Mondays. Anyhow we had the fry bread tacos and the sweet fry bread, it was so good and was worth the extra days wait!

I have Unilocal to thank for finding this place. It popped up on the homepage a month or six weeks ago, and I have been itching to try it ever since. Drove there one evening a month or so ago at 9:30 and was disappointed to find them closed when their Unilocal page said they were open until 10 on Fri and Sat. Sign at the counter now states«New Hours: Tues-Sat ?-8.(Sorry, I’m a night owl and never register what the opening hour is because it’s irrelevant to me.) I had the green chile frybread and added beans and cheese and it was crazy good. And enough for three meals! I would be a regular if they had a location on the east side. Hint, hint! I never detract stars that aren’t due to food-related beefs, hence my full five for this place. That said, it’s definitely not a date night place(unless your date is, like me, of the ‘screw the ambience, feed me good stuff!’ ilk. There are only three or four tables and the room is SO beige/nondescript. But that also lead to some interaction with the only other diners there at that time and I just love places where that can happen. Last but not least, really lovely/friendly service.

Yummy. The green chili frybread was delicious. The owner’s son was kind enough to let me have a sample, which I inhaled and then proceeded to inhale the big ol’ thing of the meal. The meat was soft and delicious, melt-in your-mouth, not spicy at all though. For a $ 1.50, you can have the whole she-bang and add the cheese, beans, lettuce, and tomatoes. Real nice folks and you can see them making the indian frybread fresh and hot. I would definitely return here. Very filling and delish. The parking is a pain but it’s worth suffering through.
