I have three tattoos. Bruce did my third one and I have to say that I am sad he didn’t do my first two as well. He did an amazing job. It was done in two sessions, he did the outline first and then the color. But before he did the color, he took the time to go back over the outline so everything would pop. This is the kind of thing you can expect from Bruce. He wants you to be insanely happy with the results and he won’t settle for anything less than that. The only thing that needs to be avoided is laughing while he’s working because Bruce is fun.

I have had extensive work done by Bruce. My tattoos always look fantastic, heal smoothly and he is very light handed. I find the shop to be comfortable and private. The art, atmosphere and personality are just a few reasons I love going here.

LOVE the Magic Fun Store! The head artist Bruce Gulick used to live on the East Coast. I would regularly drive 350+ miles round trip from NYC to Maryland to get tattooed by Bruce. Since he opted for the warm Arizona weather and opened this shop I’ve flown to Tucson twice to get work done by him. Why is he special? Because he CARES about the tattoos he does — he works with you to make sure you’re getting exactly the tattoo that’s right for you. He’s never in a rush and is open to hearing your ideas and getting to you know and at times helping you figure out what’s right for you. On top of that his touch is phenomenally light. As he likes to say«you only have to go so deep to get the ink to stay in the skin. No need to cause unnecessary pain» and it helps the healing process too — I’ve experienced very little to no scabbing from Bruce’s tattoos. And he’s done PLENTY. He did my entire back piece — that took 43 hours spread over 7 sittings. and has done extensive work on my arms. He’s been able to both copy designs I have brought him and also bring to life things I described from my imagination — like an angry cupcake minister holding a smoking machine gun. On top of that — this is not your typical tattoo shop setting. In fact it’s more like an art gallery — with tons of his original paintings lining the walls. And no tacky neon signs or lame flash tattoo art of skulls and snakes and daggers. Pure class — something I never thought I would be able to say about a tattoo parlour.
