Delicious !!! I ordered a carne Asada taco, sorry there is no picture. It was so tasty I didn’t have a chance to snap a pic . The Carmelo is huge ! I ordered a regular size to Maico regular size is a large ! Cheese could be melted more but no real complaints. I will be back again especially since I work down the street

We seen this place on Bizarre Foods where Andrew had the menudo and said he liked it. We were headed to Phoenix so we made it a point to stop off there. Big Mistake! It was during the week so I don’t think they had menudo so I ordered carnitas and cabeza tacos. Probably some of the worst tacos I’ve ever ate. The meat was dried out overly shredded. It’s like they had it for days and just re-heated it in a pan… just bad. There is no inside seating and you have to battle the flies outside. For a place to get air time on a national tv program and be empty at lunch time, you know it’s bad.

Hands down the worst pollo Asado ever, and I’ve had it in backwater Iowa. Small bits of hard as rock, dried up chicken. At first I thought my order was wrong and mistook it for a bacon burrito. Nope just same color texture size and flavor as chopped up bacon. And it was a small amount lightly dispersed over a tremendous amount of iceberg. 5 $ is far too much for dried out bacon chicken.

This place is bomberelli, food is so damn good, their burgers are good, breakfast burritos, chimmichangas, sonoran dogs you name it its good. Fresca soda’s there are excellent hell even their bean and cheese burritos for $ 2.60 kill it! Best of Tucson!

The food wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad either. Reminds me of viva burrito or nicos nothing to go out of your way for in my opinion.

Street tacos in Tucson! I lived in another state and in every taco truck and authentic Mexican restaurants lengua was a staple. We moved to Tucson and were expecting lengua everywhere. It was hard to find. The tacos at Maico’s are great street tacos. I will become a regular. I don’t care about atmosphere or location or imbibing… ok I do care about that however when I get a good street taco. I do not need other vices. It’s all about the access to lengua that I don’t have to make. Thanks Maico!

Authentic mexican tacos but honestly flavor was okay. I asked for no lettuce but each taco had lettuce. I payed for an extra side of pico and cheese and they didn’t give me this either wasting about $ 4 dollars. Honestly an okay experience but the Chips and Guac platter saved this review which is why they got 3 stars instead of 2. Might try it again since its somewhat cheap and for the mexican coke bottles but I prefer other places in Tucson.

I live nearby and come here almost weekly. I’ve never been disappointed! You can get food to go in 5 minutes or less. The carne asada is excellent, far better than taco shop. Highly recommend the California burrito!

Just have to stop here whenever we pass through Tucson. We usually order a variety of tacos… all have been so good. Tried their Sonoran hot dog today. It was our first so not sure how it compares to others, but it was delicious. The fellow taking orders — could be the owner — is so friendly and jolly. Always fun!

A good and tasty Mexican option. I got the combination with the California burrito and the enchilada and it was tasty. The tortillas were on point and the meat was freshly grilled. It has good atmosphere but there is only outdoor seating. The only thing that wasn’t amazing was that their horchata was a bit off and too watery.

The food here was really good! Don’t expect anything fancy, just great Mexican food that’s hot and fresh. I had the California burrito, and it didn’t disappoint! The steak was high quality and had great flavor. My buddy had a chorizo burrito and said it was very good as well. I also liked the size of the burritos. Some places will load them up with rice and beans to make them bigger. This place used the right portion of each ingredient to maximize the flavor, not the size.

Don’t eat here. This place is filthy. After I saw the cook mopping the floor and picking stuff up with the same glove that he was tossing ingredients on to the flat top with I left before getting my food even though I paid.

If you haven’t been here you are either not from Tucson or you been hiding under a rock! This place has it all! Very excited to find a place for breakfast burros. Viva sucks I stop going there years ago and anything betos sucks with their water down salsas and food. You will find only the best!!! Here. Fresh food salsas and great service! Opens at 6:10 am and closes at a respectable 9pm theses guys work hard. I love your food maico.

So, this place is just down the road for me, and is a go-to place for tacos and burritos. The breakfast burritos have kept me going on some«recovery» days. I opt for steak or ham. All other times, they have solid tacos of the beef/chicken/pork variety. I’m usually visiting when the owner is there. Super nice guy, makes you feel welcome. He lives in the house just next to the restau, so his pleasant demeanor may have something to do with the best commute ever. Only negative I have to add is that there is a limited salsa option. Sometimes he makes red, sometimes he makes green, sometimes he has both.

Got the chicken taco combo and a ceviche tostada. It was pretty good. Nothing was too memorable compared to other Mexican food spots. I’d put it in the same vein as Betos, Viva and Nicos. No complaints really… the food is good. The best part about is that its right next to my house. I could see myself going back.

I tried the Chicken Burrito, Pollo Asaso Burrito, and the Tacos… I thought they were very bland. The salsa(in a red ketchup container) had absolutely no kick… I think any of the local mexican food chains(Los Betos, Nico’s) are much better.

We tried this place solely on the basis of Unilocal.I thought it was very good. I got the ground beef taco plate and my lunch partner got carne asada taco plate. We both got medium drinks and the total was around 18 bucks for everything. They have picnic tables set up and you order at the window. The guy brings out your food and drinks. My ground beef tacos were good– the ground beef was mixed with potatoes and onions and was cooked very well. The lettuce and cheese were very fresh and they give you real taco shells that don’t break apart of the first bite. My partner said that the carne asada was cooked very well and everything seemed very fresh to him as well. The beans and rice were cooked perfectly as well. I will go back– next time I am intrigued with the taco salad or maybe the fish tacos. They have a vast menu with lots to choose from.

Affordable, fast, friendly service, nice outdoor atmosphere, tasty and perpetually open. 6am to 11pm daily, 7 days a week! Looks like they only close for 7 hours to get some sleep. Amazing! Ordered 3 Tacos and a plate of chips and guacamole and the bill came to $ 9. Oh and the chips and guac was a huge portion. What is there not to like really?

Carne asada with carnitas burrito. This was the best burrito I’ve ever had. Nice and flavorful and just a very slight spice. The green salsa sets it off perfectly.
