I think the previous review by Daniel is unfair. There is a difference between calling the on call nurse at the pediatrician and going to the ER. We called the on-call nurse almost a dozen times to seek urgent advice. I think vomiting blood is an emergency vs a urgent need. Emergencies require either the ER or UC. After all if a broke bone, i would go to the hospital vs my primary care provider. I found the staff at Mesquite Pediatrics very courteous and quick to responsive. As a first time parents, this was crucial to our comfort level and peace of mind. We shopped around a bit for a pediatrician during the pregnancy and i can say the Dr Cochran is perfect for us. She has solid advice based on decades of experience and a great personality.

My baby was vomiting blood, but I couldn’t get a hold of the nurse on call. I had to call several times to get a hold of the doctor on back up call. This is unacceptable. I’ve since switched pediatricians.
