These guys are a life-saver if you have a particular evaporative cooler brand(Convair) that was popularly installed in many homes in the 80’s. It’s an all plastic(and pretty darn hardy) cooler made in Australia, and I was thrilled to have found via a neighbor that this is THEONLY place in town that sell’s the parts(I almost teared up when I saw brand new clean parts that where to replace other’s I’d nursed along for years) which you otherwise have to special order from Australia. They’ve got quite the niche on these products and perhaps that’s why prices are higher than what I expected — but when it’s 115 degrees out and your cooler breaks down, or you want it functioning optimally — you don’t care! They also have an in-house aspin pad assembly wearhouse and the friendly owners(father and son I believe) are happy to give you a tour. Their aspin pads work terrific in my cooler and I’ve settled on them after trying various other medias sold at Home Depot, including Home Depot’s aspin pads which are much thinner than the Miracle Breeze pads. Interestingly, they get cooler parts from Australia for Tucsonans, and Australians actually get their cooler pads — they sell them to Australian distributors. Arizona and Australia have similar arid climates — some of the few places where evaporative cooling works well!
