I absolutely love this place. Everytime I’ve been here the staff have been very helpful. Mission library is probably my favorite library in town. Not to mention I was finally able to find a book today that I’ve been searching for all over Tucson. YAAAAAAY

I love the Tucson library system. When I first moved there in 2004, I was a bit skeptical, and even put off by the idea of not just one main, central town library. Satellite libraries? That just seemed odd to me. But boy, did it grow on me. There are branches all over Tucson, so everyone has one relatively close to their neighborhood. And while you can’t find everything at one location, the whole system is on their online catalog which you can browse online and click the«reserve» button next to whatever you want to take out. They deliver it to any branch you choose for pick-up! And the variety of contemporary materials they stock spoiled me rotten! New music and DVDs abound. How many libraries stock the Twilight soundtracks, Ludacris, Nickelback, Eminem, Katy Perry, Linkin Park, Black Eyed Peas, Disturbed and the That’s What I Call Music compilations, just to name a few? Certainly not the little town library I used to go to. Which is why the Tucson library won my heart.

Love the library. I think people forget about the library. Not only do they have books but it’s also a great place to check out movies AND a place to use free internet. The library does provide computers but you can also bring your laptop. As long as you have a library card, which costs nothing, you can surf the web at your leisure. **Do remember this is a public place owned by the government so you can’t surf the web for everything.
