Monkey Flower Chocolates makes the ideal host-​hostess gift. Case in point: My chocolate-​loving friend, a recent transplant to Arizona from Greater Boston has revealed that the chocolates…“were, past tense, delightful; and believe it or not, I actually shared them!.” many thanks to Marji and Monkey Flower for helping to place Tucson on the confectioner’s map.

When I opened my box of Monkey Flower Chocolates, my plan was to eat one, savor it and save the rest for later. Ha! After the first delicious bite, I could no longer adhere to «my plan!» I ate the second one after the first, enjoying the deep chocolate taste, the nutty flavor and the delight in finding a chocolate that accosted all of my senses!

Monkey Flower chocolates are the best! I have tried many gourmet chocolates in my life and these are by far my favorite. No other chocolate in Tucson can even compare. The Mexican toffee and the truffles are delicious! And the fun, tasty flavor combinations are so unique, so Tucson, and so GOOD!

Deliciousness abounds! I had my first tastes of a variety of these amazing chocolates, and I have no idea how I can ever go back to the ordinary chocolates that I’m used to. Besides the amazing and unique tastes that treated my palette, spending a bit of time with the owner made it so clear to me that she not only LOVES what she does, she is eager to learn what others think about her creations. Wellllllllllllll, I think the truffles were one of the best things to ever pass through these lips!

I am fortunate enough to have made a habit of eating Monkey Flower Fine Chocolate weekly. I’ve tried everything she sells, and love it all. Particular favorites are the mixed box of truffles and the Mexican Toffee. I buy in bulk and hand out to friends, and once handed out 150 pieces of chocolate at a large local conference. The owner is dedicated and extremely skilled at keeping the customer happy and of course, at making amazing chocolate. I can’t wait to see what happens with this awesome local business!
