I love this place– been going here for years! Everyone who works there is super friendly and does a great job. Plus there very accommodating if you don’t have an appt(which is pretty much always for me). Clean, professional, friendly, and consistent!

I went to Nail Trix to treat myself to a birthday mani & pedi in mid-April, 2015. I waited this long to write a review to make sure I had cooled down from the ultra negative experience. I had been making appts.(not drop in) with this salon multiple times a year since I moved to Tucson in 2008 so it was a shock to receive such unprofessional service. 6 months prior to this birthday visit, the male operator overdid my calous which bled under the skin. It took months to improve but that was ok– it could happen to anyone. Despite an appt, I had to wait half an hour and then I was assigned this same male operator. I alerted him to my previous sensitive calous and also to my achilles tendonitis without finger pointing or blaming anyone. OUt of the blue, he starts talking very loudly exclaiming repeated, «It hurts, watch out, don’t touch me, you’d better watch it, etc.» At first I thought he was kidding with a co-worker but this loud banter continued for minutes and now all of the other patrons were staring. Then I realized this unprofessional mimicking behavior was aimed at me. The owner, Jenny, was there and said nothing nor did she investigate. I calmly said that if he didn’t want to work on me, I would just leave. I did just that but he stopped me to charge me $ 15 for his rude and unprofessional treatment. NEVERAGAIN. There are other nice operators there but a salon that allows this behavior without any intervention by owner or colleagues isn’t interested in professional service.

Would not waste my money here, not very relaxing and the«owner» seems to be disrespectful to the staff.

Great and affordable nail salon. The ladies here have fun with their work and keep everything super clean and professional. I have gone here many times for pedicures and gel manicures. They always do a nice job on the pedicure by scrubbing and exfoliating. My gel manicures typically last 2 weeks, can’t beat that! The only frustrating thing is that there is a language barrier for some of the nail techs, but they usually will go get someone to help if something is getting lost in translation!

I’ve been here a couple times and most of my experiences have been pretty good. The have a great assortment of shellac colors and generally are very friendly and in high spirits. The last time I went, I wanted jewels on a couple of my nails and I felt like I was being rushed out of the shop because my nails were taking longer than normal. The work was rushed and sloppy. I ended up leaving and going to another salon to have it fixed. This was my first negative experience so I might give this place another try but maybe just for standard services and not anything that requires detail or time.

It great for an Asian nail salon. You can’t expect rainbows and butterfly’s …it’s just a good affordable nail spa. I’ll go back. Hue was great! And walking welcome.

This salon has always had great staff and service! Not sure why another reviewer stated they do not have the special lights for the gel/shellac polish. I only get the gel polish and the lights are used every time. Ask for Jordon, Ann or Lani for a manicure and pedicure. They take the time to really scrub your feet and the massage is fantastic. I went to a day spa after receiving a gift certificate and ended up back at Nail Trix a week later when the polish chipped. After that I never go anywhere but Nail Trix. For regulars they will do free repairs for a chipped or broken nail. At least for natural nails, not the acrylic.

I’m pretty positive they charged me more per service than was advertised on the menu board. So-so waxing service. Constantly trying to up-sell. I have not had my nails done so I can’t speak to that just I recommend going to an actual salon to get waxed. Tips must be cash.

There are two things that distinguish Nail Trix from other salons. 1) They have disposable tubs for your pedicure, which gives the illusion that it’s a clean place. 2) You don’t have to hold your leg mid air for 15 minutes while they«escrape jor feet.”* Their chairs have some built in foot rest that every salon should have, frankly. Otherwise, it’s just your average, run-of-the-mill Vietnamese salon. *For reference, see underrated and forgotten 1980’s film«Seems Like Old Times» with Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase.** **In order to see said film, go to Casa Video.

They did a great job, were very personable and quick and made jokes with the other ladies in the salon. I did pay about $ 10 more than I would anywhere else for shellac though.
