Extremely pretentious owner that thinks she is better than everyone else, and horrible pizza. I will not be back and will ensure nobody I know will come through word of mouth.

Delicious pizza. Definitely reminds me of home. Staff is professional and the atmosphere in the restaurant/bar area is nice. Has a good New York theme to it.

Big slices. Delicious. Exactly what I expected when I thought of New York style. A little greasy but not in a bad way.

The food was not bad but the cussing and swearing from the«owner» and kitchen staff was not what I expect in any type of business.

Absolutely delicious! Their«white pizza» was incredible… We even ordered another pizza to take home for dinner the next night. I really hope they open a 2nd location on the West Sode of town.

The customer service I received from Jennifer today was outstanding! She made sure I was satisfied from the second I looked at the menu to the second I walked out the door. My salad was the best I’ve had it so far thanks to her. :-)!!!

So the they didn’t do a good job with my food. The owner’s immediate response was that my money was no good with him. So I brought back the pizza. The owner immediately got handy. He shoved me, threatened me, did that meat head chest bumping«what are you going to do about it?» Thing. I responded that I certainly wasn’t going to get in a fist fight about pizza, of all stupid things. Waiting for TPD to show up so I can file a report about his wandering aggressive hands. Oh, he also told me that the pizza looked like it was from my wife’s vagina, which I’ll have you know is immaculate. Irony being that the pizza was actually from his oven. Yeah… Terrible experience with the mentally handicapped(which is rare for me; I enjoy the mentally handicapped usually)

Great NY style pizza. I ordered two slices and a drink-the manager thought the slices delivered to my table were too thin so he sent a third out. The pizza was great, I will be back soon and will make NYPD my stop for a slice when the craving hits.

I am astonished at the lack of customer service I just witnessed. I ordered a pizza(delivery) and the driver brought the wrong pizza. Ok, no biggie. The next pizza delivered was soggy and raw in the middle of the pizza. I called to complain and talked to David who told me he thought my complaint was«hard to believe» and when I told him I would no longer order from NYPD again he hung up. I am appalled. As a business owner myself I find this lack of appropriate customer service deplorable.

I used to love this place so much, but alas, I have changed my opinion. The pizza used to be so good but I don’t know what happened to it. Lately every pie I’ve gotten from here has been a greasy, sloppy mess. Customer service has been hit or miss at best, it just depends on who is working up front. A couple of those girls are great, but most of them not so much. Good luck getting them to get your order right or even smile at you. The black haired one with the purple streaks is by far the worst, but there’s a couple of newer girls who are super sweet and awesome. Lol I wish they were there all the time. Can’t complain about those philly cheesesteaks though, they are sooooo fabulous and tasty!

I love this place! Thay have delicious pizza with the perfect amount of cheese. They also have unique toppings like eggplant, ricotta cheese, fresh tomatoes, ground beef and a lot more! I have odered from them multiple times now. I usually go to pick up my order since I live very near by, but when I did use their delivery they were quick and the pizza was still piping hot. I have had their salads as well, they are also very good. It is hard to find good canolis in Tucson, but their are wonderful! I wish they had pistachio, but I will happily settle for cherry chocolate chip any day! I hope to try more of their food in the future.

Good pizza joint. They have Sicilian! And, it is very good. Their regular pie is also quite good. Sandwiches were all mostly very good. The baked ziti was not really baked ziti. It was boiled pasta reheated with sauce and a bunch of mozzarella melted on it. Baked ziti is a «casserole» much like lasagna and should have ricotta cheese baked in with it(in a large pan). You would then dole out your portions from there. The italian sub is really good. Overall I like this place a lot and I just moved to Tucson from Long Island, NY where every neighborhood has good pizza. This place is as good as the place we went to on LI. Yay!

This is nothing like NY pizza. I spent the last 20 years living in the Philadelphia and New York area, and this barely resembles pizza from that area. I went in on a weekend and the place was moderately busy. The delivery driver was taking orders. He was a great guy who was trying to do his best, but out of his element. My girlfriend got a slice of Sicilian. It was overcooked and nothing like any slice if Sicilian we ever had. I ordered a whole pizza and mozzarella sticks. I got the mozz sticks quickly, but I would call them egg rolls stuffed with cheese and garlic. Although different, they were good. Although moderately busy, I finally received my pizza in about 45 minutes. Several people who came in after me received their orders well before me. I had to go to the counter and ask where my pizza was. When it finally arrived I was very disappointed. It was extremely greasy, the crust was thin and soggy, and the pizza was very salty. The service wasn’t very good, although I think it was because they were understaffed. The pizza was just plain gross.

Great pizza, fast service. I wish I lived closer because I would eat here a lot more then I already do. I always go for the classic slice, but my husband says the Sicilian slice isn’t bad either. It’s your normal pizza joint, full bar and TV’s galore. Lots of pictures of New York. The crust doesn’t taste like cardboard and the sauce actually tastes like tomatoes, and the cheese is yummy and gooey. Just how I like my slice!

Best pizza delivery place in Tucson. They make a much better pie than Mama’s(boring sauce and crust) and Rosati’s(thin crust is too thin; deep dish is okay but that isn’t a real pizza!). NYPD reminds me of the pizzas from back east. The sauce is outstanding. Lots of cheese and good toppings(they slice their onions very thin which is great). Excellent crust that is crispy out the outside yet soft in the middle. There’s also a unrelated chain that goes by the same name(NYPD) up in the Phoenix area. They make an outstanding pizza as well. I used to go to their Chandler location all the time. Also, to the person who said the pizza is too greasy: it’s pizza. Lots of meat+cheese in a 500° oven… what do you think was going to happen? Throw some napkins or paper towels on there and it’ll soak right up if you’re really that worried about it. One last tip: since NYPD uses a ton of cheese and toppings, it tends to get a bit soggy in the middle after a while. I suggest you request your pizza cooked well done. It comes out perfect every time. Keep up the great work!

My friend ate here for lunch and sent me a picture… It looked so good, i went for dinner… So worth it. My new favorite pizza place. I feel like Tucson has so many good pizza places, each has its own special quality. But I really feel this is over all the best. It’s not build your own, it doesn’t have original rare combinations… It’s just your classic everyday pizza joint. And they have slices!!! Dough, sauce and cheese is perfect. Decent price beers. Over all prices are good, though I think adding additional toppings is a little pricey but they’ve got several combinations to pick from. I ended up going with Hawaiian but needed to add bell peppers, which were green and red, which is a huge plus to me. My hubs got the lasagna, he’s pretty picky about his lasagnas and he really enjoyed this one. Another guest next to us took notice we’ve never been there before and told us he’s been coming here for years, 3 – 4 times a week.

I’ve only ever had delivery from NYPD, but it’s always prompt, hot, and their drivers very courteous. Their pizza isn’t my favorite — it might be a style thing, but I’m not a fan of the large slice with the soft, chewy crust. I just prefer my pizza to have a little more substance to it. Anyway, I know legions of people who love their pies, and their prices make it very easy to enjoy. I can tell you without question that they make some absolutely phenomenal baked sandwiches. Their meatball sandwich and chicken parm are HUGE, delicious, and SO reasonably priced! I’ve also enjoyed their wings as well, but it’s the sandwiches that keep me dialing their number. Fantastic prices, great delivery, mouth-watering sandwiches. I just might order myself one tonight.

I’m just gonna go right ahead and call this the best pizza in town. I may he wrong as my pizza shop experiences in Tucson are rather limited. This is good-old-fashioned thin crust, giant, greasy delicious pizza for nearly free! I think it’s like 3 bucks a slice or something… and for me one slice is plenty. Tons of flavor and all though you may need to do a little napkin dabbing, it’s just straight up delicious pie. The location is horrible, the décor is poor at best. But I’ve never been in the place when there wasn’t at least one or two other people there and the delivery drivers are usually pretty steadily busy. I hope to spread the word about this killer pizza! Every member of the staff are eager to help and the service is always great! NYPD is located in a dodgy little strip mall on Wilmot between Speedway and Pima on the west side of the street. If you like big, greasy thin crust pizza, NYPD is the place to go!

This place is something. I ordered the Jumbo slice & a soda and it only costed me $ 3.50. And when I say jumbo slice, I MEAN a jumbo slice. This pizza reminded me of something from the east coast, possibly nostalgic, reminiscent of NY style pizza. One jumbo slice is equivalent to two normal slices of pizza, and it was cooked perfectly. Pizza should be folded! And this is the place to be. (This is a review on their delivery service. I did not go in, or eat at this location. I ordered a group meal, with free delivery over $ 30!)

I bet I’ve drive right by this place a million times… always thought it sold police stuff. I know, that’s crazy but their NYPD sign looks so SERIOUS. Never thought it was a restaurant. Thanks, my fellow Unilocalers, for your great reviews. I ordered the special of 2 jumbo(and I mean jumbo) slices with a pop. Ate one and took the other home for dinner. Very very tasty. The restaurant had a good feel to it and was filled with what seemed to be regulars. This one is definitely on my favorite pizza list. I look forward to my return.
