Literally worst Chinese restaurant in Tucson! The food tastes awful and it’s not even clean! I will never come here again.

Update: Inconsistent. Some dishes are very good some are not. Deducted a star because their crappy takeout boxes LEAK… maybe they will read this and get the better plastic boxes that some places are now using.

Mediocre. I’ve eaten here once with family and ordered takeout last night. While service is good, the food could really use some improvement. I ordered the beef chowder, beef chow fun, chicken and broccoli and spicy wings. They should use better quality beef, it’s not really good. Even a higher grade ground beef in the soup would be better at this point. Everything was seasoned with Maggi seasoning, u can smell it instantly cuz it’s so pungent. Wings need to have more spice.

My go to place for Chinese take out. I’ve never been disappointed with anything that I’ve ordered. The lo mein noodles here are amazing and nice and thick noodles! Their chicken fried rice and orange chicken are also some of my favorites. You can order from old Peking online and pickup your to go order rather quickly. They give you large servings of each order and the staff is always friendly too. Definitely try this place out if you haven’t already!

The food was fresh and cheap. The server was quick and attentive to me. The only thing I can comment is on the menu description, like the fried rice bbq, I was expecting something else based on the description but it didn’t quite meet my expectation. Next time, it’s probably helpful to ask before you order. Overall the food is good.

Man I remember when this place was good. It has gotten worst throughout the years. Didn’t realize that the prices went up by 4 dollars and the food is a bit too salty. If you order here, I HIGHLY recommend«less salt» because for a fact I drank 4 cups of water eating half an entrée.

Best Chinese restaurant in Tucson! Heaping portions, great flavor, my only issue is it is difficult at times to understand the employees but that is expected at a traditional Chinese restaurant.

Last Sunday we got our«food for days» like normal… but we only got to eat it for one day because we got food poisoning. So sad.

This place is awesome. So cheap and so good. The portion sizes are huge and lasts two meals. I ordered carry out and it was quick and accurate. This restaurant is highly recommended. I had Broccoli and beef, chicken lo mein, crab puffs and egg flower soup. The egg flower soup had mushrooms which I thought odd but next time I will order without it. Eat here it’s good.

The food here is good, but the ambiance is old ‘hole in the wall’. They serve different dishes both to the American taste and authentic ones as well. Delivery is very slow, food will come cold if you get delivery. It’s best to call them and pick up your own food.

I ordered two dishes: ma po tofu(Szechuan menu) and moo shu chicken. Both dishes were way too salty. I’m glad it was takeout and I was at home because I actually had to do a hot water rinse for the chicken. I struggled my way through the tofu. I’ve not had this salt issue at other Chinese restaurants in town. Rich’s recommendation: ask for easy on the salt /sauce.

Ordered online for delivery — disaster. My husband and I ordered sesame chicken, lo mein and curry chicken. While it was delivered on time, the person delivering the food quoted the wrong price and then did not have ANY change, what so ever. Once he left to get change, my husband looked at our order and realized they did not give us sesame chicken but orange chicken — We called and they agreed to fix it and we just had to give it back to our delivery driver. Once he finally came back with change, took our wrong order and came back with the«correct» order the whole process was about 1.5 hours. We then find out that the sesame chicken is basically orange chicken with sesame seeds on it. Not impressed. Besides the mishaps of ordering online/delivery, the food itself was not even that good.

This is an odd approximation of what Sichuan food is. None of the Sichuan dishes had much of the numbing spicy power that they are supposed to have. The fuqi feipian(cold sliced chili beef) really did not have any flavor. The water boiled fish just looks off to me. It tastes more like something out of hot pot that has been left out for a little too long. The kung pao chicken is too starchy and too vinegary and the lack of proper spiciness really makes this dish taste like its Americanized version. Suggestion: Go to China Szechwan instead. EDIT: Been getting weird messages about this review. Not sure if they’re from the owners or not. For the record, I have spent time in Chengdu and know Sichuan cuisine pretty well.

Since our go to Chinese place has gone downhill, we’ve been searching for a new place for takeout. After several misses, we finally found our new place! The staff, first of all, are very friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic. The crab puffs have the exact amount of green onion, not overpowering, but enough to bring out the flavor of the cream cheese. Old Peking probably serves the best vegetable Foo Yung we’ve ever had. The patties are huge and the sauce is savory and rich. The Mongolian Beef is prepared the right way, it’s not stir fried but cooked in a method known as velveting. Basically, it’s quickly frying the beef in a good amount of oil. The sauce was a little sweet, but Mongolian Beef seems to be trending to the sweeter, less spicy side. Their Hot and Sour soup is a perfect combination of heat and tanginess. My girls enjoyed their Lo Mein noodles as well, although they don’t have a meatless option. The beef was as well cooked and tender as the Mongolian. All in all, we had a wonderful meal at a very reasonable price. Old Peking is definitely our new Chinese take out place!

This restaurant is a children’s roller coaster of experiences for us. Every few months we give it a try and it seems like it is always different. Not so great and sometimes pretty good. This last time it was pretty tasty. We tried a couple other places first and they were either closed or didn’t deliver until later so we opted for Old Peking. We kept it simple and just ordered the house lo-mein and orange chicken. The lo-mein was fine, pretty typical, but the orange sauce was delicious! Just needed a kick of sriracha and it was perfect. Coating was a little thick on some of the pieces of chicken but overall it was a good dish. Also delivery was quoted at close to an hour and food arrived in 30 minutes, great service.

Ordered the Mongolian Beef and chicken lo mein. Overall good service, food and drinks came out really quick. Side of rice with the Mongolian beef is teeny! I suggest ordering an extra side, especially if you are sharing the meal(as we were). The waitress was sweet and funny. Overheard a rude customer giving them a hard time about pricing and the staff handled the situation very well! About 18 $ for two people so I say that’s great for the quality and portions we had!

Went with a group of nine friends and we ordered a variety of dishes including the Peking Duck C(C comes with soup, lettuce cups, duck and pancakes. It was enough to serve about 10 people). Then we ordered Mongolian beef(very spicy), vegetables deluxe, eggplant stuffed with shrimp(really good), barbecues port with string beans, shrimp in lobster sauce and a couple of other dishes. My favorites were the barbecued pork and eggplant but all items were fresh tasting and good. The wait staff were a bit overwhelmed but accommodating when we could catch them when we needed something. It was better than other Chinese I’ve had in Tucson and everyone seemed to enjoy the dishes.

Every year when I come to Tucson I must come here for a nice Szechuan Food Hot Numb(MAHLAD Cantonese prounciation) dishes that makes you want even more. Usually Get the Szechuan menu instead of the American menu. MAPO Tofu Salt and Spicy Crispy Tofu Sliced Beef or Pork Belly over Chilly Sauce Sautee Green Beans Their famous Fish(Or other meat) with Spicy Mah Lad Sauce. Everytime I go is always packed. Is pretty authentic Chinese food and reasonable price Specially in the Tucson Area.

What took us so long to come back? Well, an Entertainment Book coupon did the trick anyways and we were glad to be back. We skipped the appetizers and went for Moo shu pork, Shrimp with Lobster Sauce, plus Szechuan Green beans. The shrimp dish was flawless with a delicious sauce with firm, well cooked shrimp. A word of warning re the Green beans. They are cooked with Jalapeños. That is the peppers are sliced lengthwise and are about the very same color as the beans themselves. So it’s easy to unexpectedly bite into a powerfully hot pepper. Wife really got it hard, almost spoiling the whole dinner. But, all in all we had a good dinner.
