We called to get an estimate. A man came and we received the estimate via e-mail. The man said the entire job could be done in less than a day. We scheduled for today 3⁄28. They were supposed to arrive at 8:00 a.m., but they called and said that they would be here at 9:30 or 10:00. The reason they gave, «We have to buy supplies.» That seemed odd since they are a stucco company. Two men arrived at 10:15. They said they could only do part of the job today, then would need to let the stucco cure and come back for the final coat on Tuesday evening. We agreed even though that is not what they said originally. Before noon we realized they were gone. They had not said a word to us or told us they were leaving. We stayed home, assumed they would return today to get as far as they promised. Around 3:30, my husband started calling the company to ask what was going on and the man said that they would be coming back on Monday. We won’t be home on Monday and the job(in the state they left it today) would under those circumstances require TWO more trips. When my husband complained, the man said he would get them back today(in an hour or hour and a half). It seemed too risky to allow them to come back… if their work was as bad as the customer service provided so far, what would we do then? So… we told them not to come back. When my husband said he would pay for what they did this morning, they said it would be $ 175. We only agreed to pay $ 70 because the job was not even half finished.
