This place always has unique items. The store is small, but you will spend a surprising amount of time inside looking at all of the collections. There is so much inventory — and it’s all eye catching! I have been in numerous times to purchase small knick-knacks and gifts, but today is my birthday and I decided to get something just for me. Although they have a great popular jewelry selection, I opted to browse inside their locked display case … You know, the good stuff! I found the most beautiful coral ring… And the prices of their authentic Arizona turquoise & coral pieces were VERYREASONABLE. I found the perfect ring to celebrate my 35th birthday.

I visited Ooo! when I was in town for the Tucson Festival of Books. I was interested in a necklace/watch that we couldn’t get to work consistently. The owner Tom suggested I get another one but I was stuck and foolishly bought it anyway. It stopped working for good almost immediately so I got in touch for a replacement. Tom remembered me instantly and had the new one shipped to me before I even returned home. That is service, my friends!

I stopped in here to grab a bottle of water(they had a small cooler by the front door) while partaking in the festivities at Main Gate Square during homecoming weekend. I was blown away by how cute the store was. Most of the places on University(as this area was known before they built Main Gate) used to be cool indie shops and cheap eats for the students back when I went to the U of A. Now it’s totally commercialized and full of boring chains. OOO stands out as a must visit if you are shopping in the area. I didn’t have much time to browse since I was with other people but I did snag some cool handmade earrings from the sale area for only $ 3. I will be back for sure next time I am on campus.

Luxe! This place really makes me «Ooo» with its jam-pack selection of high end lotions and cosmetics(Butter, Soap & Paper Factory etc.), unique and quality giftware and lots of Pinterest worthy home décor. Some brands here are carried in higher end stores like Anthropologie and Nordstroms, but you can also find more budget worthy trinkets as well… you just have to look! I could spend well over an hour here exploring the nooks and crannies of this modest business and still find something new each time. Don’t forget the sale area! Although located on the University ave. strip, you are well advised not to lump this store in with all the run of the mill boutiques that usually line this street – it is definitely«Outside of Ordinary!»

All I can say about this store is WOW! Really really neat stuff is here, and I would have never guessed it. Most of the items are decorative home décor, but they also have a fair amount of jewelry and accessories. They have a lot of things that would make great gifts, and I saw about a thousand things I wanted to buy right then and there. The way everything is laid out is beautiful and is very fun too. Whoever is in charge of the displays, kudos to you on a job well done. If you’re out and about on University(I was early for a Frog N Firkin Dinner meetup) it is well worth it to check it out. Fans of urban outfitters just down the row will also love it here. Eclectic, inviting and fun.

Was finally able to stop in here yesterday and holy stuff! They have little bits of everything from greeting cards to jewelry to clothes to art to sock monkeys! The prices are reasonable as well and there is a great mix and lots of discovering to be had. However, I wish there was something, anything, by local artists. There are so many in town! It was sad to see lots of handmade-looking things that were actually mass produced(mostly in the jewelry) and great paper greeting cards but they were also from out-of-state artists.

Ooo! Literally has you oohing and aaaahing from the moment you walk through their doors. To say this locally owned shop on University Blvd is charming and unique is an understatement. But it’s also to give a clear description of what to expect from a visit here other than be prepared to Ooo your way through this store; from the tables displaying handmade jewelry, to the notebooks and organizers and even hidden in those stacks of seemingly normal notepads you will find a Kama Sutra tutorial… pictures and all! The eccentric selection is fun and fresh and could keep you browsing in this spot for a couple of hours. In fact, I suggest that you should plan to spend some time here because there is so much to see. In addition to the jewelry and notebooks you’ll find unique wine stoppers, picture frames, cosmetics, wall decorations, pillows, clothing, pet accessories(meow!), and the list goes on. This shop is owned by a husband and wife team and they roll old school. Receipts are hand written, so this is not an «in & out» type of place. You’re guaranteed to make some awesome finds here and it’s definitely a great spot to shop for a variety of people and friend.

I was really impressed by the unusual selection of stuff I didn’t know I needed. Loved the round purses with holographic pictures of eyes. And the toy selection is great. Looking for the right toy for the kid that has every electronic toy and needs a little nostalgia this is the place. Really, what are they going to do when the lights go out during the end of the world?

What a cute little gem of a quirky store! I had some time after a meeting, intended to pop in briefly and ended up wandering around for half an hour. Chatted with the owner, super friendly. Definitely worth a stop-in!

Visiting this store is a must! Incredible, unique things for anyone on your gift list or for redecorating your home. Just amazing. The owner travels the world shopping for these items and knows what she is selling you. You leave Tucson and journey to many places and it will take you a while. Have fun.

Not to shabby… man this place is packed with a lot. I think that’s the only challenge for me, it’s hard to navigate and there’s usually only one person working, so asking where something is, is difficult.(Man I wanted to avoid that is… is) It’s def a great find for grabbing gifts though, the selection is incredible. Some things like the Ts were a bit pricey, but I like the eclectic nature and hope to get back there soon and really try to get a good lay of the land.

Charming, eclectic shop located near the University and I LOVEIT. They always have the most interesting collection of things and I know whenever I go in, I’ll find something I «need.» I’m sure the store is sadly neglected by the local students, which is a shame. They don’t appreciate the eccentric, eclectic items housed within — handmade jewelry, British cosmetics, wall hangings, old maps and items with clever sayings or antique photos… It’s a perfect spot to find someone a unique gift. If you have the time, go through the entire store slowly — you’ll be surprised at the things you find there.

I found this shop while walking around the U of A neighborhood with two friends of mine(both ladies). Naturally they were drawn to the gift shop and before I knew it, I was being dragged inside. I looked around for a bit and saw a lot of very random things. Things I don’t need but spontaneously want. It was strange being there, as if I was in my grandma’s warm and welcoming gift shop, except she doesn’t have one. After looking around I went over and spoke with the shopkeeper. I told him that we were visiting from Denver and he said he came from Colorado too, and that they just opened the shop less than a year ago. He told me that it’s really his wife’s shop he just works there and pays the rent. It was a really cool and mysterious shop and reminded me of those random mom & pops that you only read about in books. Absolutely a must-visit if you’re in the neighborhood.

If you ever watched«Ghost Whisperer,» you might have asked, I did, «where the heck is there a store, like Melinda’s, that has an atmosphere like that?» Well, I’d like to submit that I’ve found something very close. Outside of Ordinary(OoO) is full of knick knacks. According to the owners of the store, this place is designed to sell thing you want and a few things you want and might need. The store is filled with clutter that makes you feel like there are corners and chests to explore for treasures. The store owners are helpful as well as polite; the wife is especially knowledgeable about the items in the store since she has purchased them all.

What a great store. A gift for everyone in the family at any price point. And it’s locally owned. I bought hubby’s a sweater for valentine’s day, green gifts for the kids, and affordable gifts for my business colleagues. Owners operate the store and are very helpful.

I was shopping on Main Gate Square when I noticed Outside of Ordinary. I went inside and found the BEST gift store in Tucson. I also wished I had unlimited funds to buy everything! They had everything from clothes, accessories, books, trinkets, home decoration… you name it and they probably have it. I spoke to the owner and she said they just opened up in October. This is definitely going to be my go-to store when I need to find someone a unique gift or buy something special for myself. I was so obsessed with this store that when I got home I tried to find their website, but couldn’t find it. I did however find this great write up in the AZ Daily Star: Great place!!!
