Oy Vey Cafe

Everything from here is delicious. I miss eating here regularly now that I’m not a student. Food is consistent, atmosphere is nice and bright. Wonderful place to dine on campus –wish more people knew about it! Try the pesto panini, the Thursday Mac & Cheese, the eggplant sandwich (mmm), the salmon or the quesadilla! They also have great, fresh-​tasting salads! Yummy dessert options too. I used to love their lemon bars!

I have earned two degrees from the University — on my way to get a third — and I have never been to this café.
Oy Vey is located in the basement of the Hillel Center, which is just adjacent to the University of Arizona. By all means, it’s practically on campus.
The café seems quite popular for breakfast and lunch, and they had a nice range of menu offerings. It seems to go to items are the salads and the bagel sandwiches and the paninis. They also have falafel. I tried the locks Panini — it was actually quite good! And it comes with a side of chips and a pickle. The cost was about $ 9.
The restaurant is pretty spacious. It looks like a small old-​school student union dining room. They also have a patio that offers a decent amount of shade. Even a little lounge area.
Parking may be strained. Best chance is to park in the Second Street garage right across the street.

I’ve tried this café twice and was disappointed both times. Student staff is always more interested in other things than running a café. I waited so long at the counter once for someone to come out and help me that I had to call the café phone line and tell them I’d been waiting. The food is very bland and not worth the price or long wait for service.

Small little eatery on campus so parking it a bitch.
Fresh food in a clean place. Prices are okay.
Would be nice for your first date while going to Univ.

Love this place! Especially the fish tacos and mac n cheese with salmon! My favorites!!! I come here once a week for lunch and I’m always satisfied. Definitely recommended.

Pretty chill place to be. Just north of the union, this place is a little place underground. You have to walk up these stairs just to go down another to arrive at this little place. it is not much; but people go here to study or have a quiet lunch. Only set back is that they close too early…5PM I believe on one of the days I went there.
