The first time I went here I’ll admit I wasn’t really fond of it but that was because I had no idea what I was ordering, after a second attempt at this with a help of a friend I fell in love. if its your first time here I would recommend the kielbasa sandwich style with pierogies as your second item for 5.50 you can’t beat that make sure to get mustard, radish, sauerkraut and sour cream with it. Also the hunters stew is really good. The owner is super nice BTW.

I really wanted to like this lunch but I am not sure I would go back. I am still giving three stars though because I think the owner is really trying. There was nothing bad on the menu, just nothing memorable. We had polish sandwich and we also got some hunters stew and perogies. Prices are very cheap so thats great. But honestly I would rather pay a bit more and get my sandwich on better bread or have some side dish choices. My sausage was cut in half and fried which ruins the juicy bite of it. Seemed more like a hot dog. And all of my condiments were in little containers. I am eating in just put those things on there! There were no fountain drinks so it was basically canned soda or water. Deep frying perogies I have to say just turns them into generic fried appetizer. I love a good perogie sauteed in butter. We left and said to each other«Well, that was weird.» I think with a few tweaks this could be successful but obviously something is not working because the other resturaunts were packed in the shopping center and this one was empty. 1. Side dishes. 2. Fountain drinks. 3. Menu clarity. I think these things would go a long way to happier customers. Maybe pictures since polish food is not that common.

We were very confused with the menu and the portions. I had no idea I was only getting half of hot dog. The women who rang up our order was not helpful ATALL. No personality either.

Had a late lunch here the other day. The place is super clean. The man who helped me took a lot of pride in the place and deservedly so. He was very polite and on point with ordering suggestions. The food was excellent. I had a combo plate and he threw in a sample of the stew. I will definitely eat here more often! Well done!

I hate to say it, but I wasn’t a fan of this one. Too bad, because I love perogies. I second the opinion of another reviewer, that I prefer my perogies boiled or pan fried. I believe you have to have the butter and fried onions with them. Here the perogies come deep fried. I ask before I placed my order if they sold frozen perogies to-go, they didn’t. I learned they buy their perogies already made. I tried two other items in addition to the perogies, but I didn’t have anything that would bring me back.

Nice variety of Polish food and the quality of the food I ordered(hunter’s stew, pierogi, and city chicken) was excellent. I will certainly go back for more pierogis and to try some of the other offerings.

I visited Polish Express for lunch today on a whim with a buddy of mine. At first glance the store doesn’t look like much, but I think that’s part of the charm. We were greeted by Jim the owner of Polish Express and he was able to help us pick a couple of sandwiches from the menu. He proceed in back and prepared our food. Minutes later we had our food. The meal was tasty and my only complaint would be that I wanted more. Take away –quick inexpensive lunch –Very helpful owner/employee(no need to worry if it’s your first time) –the food we tried was very tasty and left us wanting more(polish sausage) I’d recommend getting a quick lunch here. Support this local business and give Jim a shot!

I like the choice of Polish takeout near both my work and my parents’ house. The food is mostly good, they are still finding their footing a bit which prevented me from giving a higher rating. I’ve had the kielbasa sandwich, which comes undressed but you can apply your own choice of sides(including in a local touch, jalepeños). And yes, I ordered pierogi. I know that there are a thousand ways to prepare them, but I am used to either boiled or pan fried. These are deep fried, not my top choice. A co-worker had the beet salad. She raved about it. She also liked the pierogi, but she’s a first timer too. Another one had the bigos, hunter’s stew, which she liked. Service is a bit of a problem. They have you write your order on slips that are conveniently located near the large menu on the wall with golf pencils and clip boards. It’s a nice idea, but doesn’t help the line along when many of the customers have questions about unfamiliar food. Also, the place appears to have only two employees. They are just getting started(I think the place has been open less than two months), but it means that they don’t always have the time to clean the lobby and limits their hours(they are closed on Tuesdays, which seems random). It can also slow up getting your order, a bit deal since it’s take out. Still, the food is good. We haven’t yet tried to call in an order from the office, but this may be a good idea given their growing pains and staffing issues. As they learn more, the place will be excellent.

I was so excited to see something DIFFERENT as a lunch choice here. Great variety on the menu and many low carb/Paleo options. I ordered the 3 item«polish plate», of which there are 7 different entrees to choose from. We asked one of the owners if the portions were large(in deciding between 2 and 3 items) and he said they were on the small side, so we went for 3 each. The servings were actually quite generous. I ordered two of the Kielbasa and one Beet Salad. Kielbasa is exactly what you expect, delicious with a nice sear on the outside. They serve them split in half, with your choice of several condiments. I highly recommend the beet horseradish! NO watered-down cream-style baby stuff. Delicious grated horseradish with the vibrant beet color and just a hint of beet flavor. EDITED2÷25÷15− Below I comment on two things I didn’t like about the beet salad. I went back today and BOTH were changed. Lettuce is now fresh cut iceberg and it is no longer served with the ranch, but rather with a vinaigrette. AWESOME. We also tried the Hunter’s stew today. Better than expected! This is not a soupy stew. Its more of a hearty casserole full of mild sauerkraut, meats, veggies and that slow cooked flavor. Will definitely order again! Great lunch option when you are tired of the norm. ENDOFEDIT My beet salad had deliciously marinated beets and onions. The serving size was MUCH larger than I expected, a full dinner plate with lots of toppings. They were great about customizing(no feta cheese for me). If I could offer one critique on it, it would be the lettuce. Bagged lettuce always tastes just on the edge of fermented to me. I would take a smaller portion with freshly chopped lettuce any day. Oh, and there was a on-the-sweet-side ranch that came on it. The menu doesn’t specify this and I definitely would have asked for no ranch. I’d love to see a house dressing in keeping with their other authentic recipes. Maybe a vinaigrette or some tangy concoction we could only get there. I’d also love to see a condiment bar, with a few choices in mustard and maybe warm sauerkraut. My son tried it out right after we did. His assessment was also 4 stars. He had the Meatballs, the City Chicken and the Pierogies. He said the portions didn’t appear huge, but everything was filling and well flavored. The meatballs(a serving was 4 giant ones) had a delicious gravy over them. The«city chicken» is actually pork with a light breading reminiscent of Pork Katsu. Tender and tasty. The pierogies were light and fried perfectly. He did feel they needed a dipping sauce of some kind, but he hadn’t reviewed the menu for suggestions and said that he probably could have ordered something to dip them in. Options include mustard, sour cream, applesauce, ranch and gravy. Those few tweaks on my dish are the only reason this didn’t get 5 stars. We will definitely be back and have recommended the place to our entire office staff.

Tried Polish Express today and was thrilled! We sampled most of the menu. All the items were superb! The meatballs were sublime! The kielbasa was first rate as were the pierogies. Wish they had cabbage rolls on the menu. For you Polish food lovers, check this place out!
