ProTect Painters of The Catalina Foothills

I hired ProTect Painters to repair drywall on my ceiling. I dealt with the owner JD who assured me it would be done correctly. They were supposed to fix the water damaged drywall and paint over the area to match the rest of the ceiling. He charged me $ 850. When I saw the finished repair I was astounded at how horrible it was. Not only did the drywall repair look bad but the paint he chose to «match» the ceiling was completely off. I told JD I felt completely ripped off. He wouldn’t admit it was a bad patch job. So… I asked him «If I posted a picture of this repair job online saying you thought it was a good representation of your quality work, you would agree?» His response «Well, I didn’t say that.»
After much complaining from me he offered to send a professional drywaller over to my house to survey the situation. The professional drywaller literally said it was a bad repair job and all they did was throw some mud on top of the damaged drywall.
And, guess who never followed through… that’s right… JD… the owner of the company.
How’s that for standing behind your work.
My house has since been rented out, so we will have to fix this once our tenants move out and we list the house for sale… and spend, I’m sure, another $ 800 to have it done properly.
I work with a lot of different contractors as I have multiple rental properties. There are good contractors out there. This is NOT one of them.
In my opinion, they don’t do quality work — drywall or paint. And, they don’t stand behind their work.
