So, I am moving into a new phase in my life and opening a Pilates Studio. I knew I needed head-shots and photos for a website but I wasn’t even sure where to start. I did some Google-ing and looked on Unilocal.I was looking for something different and not typical and the portfolio they had seemed to click with what I wanted.(BTW. Corey D gave them a great review and there is no one I trust more… and miss!!!) Casia and Eric are wonderful. We had a consultation on the phone to get an idea of what I wanted and what I was looking for. We then did a site visit and tried to find the perfect time and lighting(they use all natural lighting). Everything went so smooth. We just worked well together. I am all about letting the professionals do what they know best. I let Casia guide me and give me helpful advice, but we came up with things I loved! The actual shoot went fantastic and I had a large number of proofs to choose from. It was difficult. In the end, I ended up with a lot of great shots for my website, social media, and print advertising. I was so glad I used them. They gave me something special, unique, and it felt exactly like me. They are very flexible, have good communication, and provide such a professional product. I highly recommend them for head-shots/business photos.

We needed photos of our leadership team for our company website and didn’t want the boring and predictable photos you always see. We wanted something that was more representative of who we are as individuals and as a company. Something that captured our belief that work and fun don’t always have to be two separate things. After checking out Purple Nickel’s website my search was over and I knew that Casia & Eric were exactly who I was looking for. After speaking with Casia the first time I knew we were on the same page and I was confident they could deliver. We had a very tight timeline to get six photographs completed. Casia responded promptly, even on weekends. Our first conversation was on a Thursday. By Sunday we had deposits and contracts done. Monday was the photo shoot for all six people and about a week later we had the proofs to review. In a city where most people move at a glacial pace, working with Casia & Eric was a refreshing change. They understood my sense of urgency, respected my tight timeline, and delivered an exceptional product. I recommend Purple Nickel Studio without hesitation. They are absolutely the best and you will not be disappointed.

It’s not always easy to know where to go for certain things, for example.portraits. Myself I like to know that whoever’s on the other side of the camera has some kindredness, if you will. Thus, I pass on to you Purple Nickel Studio. Casia & Eric have such an astute awareness of the elements around them they effortlessly create a relaxed and fun environment. This helps you forget to be stiff. This helps them get great pictures. Try it, you might like it.

Follow me here folks, last night, December first, I wrote a review for the developer of the home I moved into exactly one year ago. Exactly one year later, tonight, I’m writing a review for a photography team that shot my event last night, December first.(Did you get all that? In the month of December I’m reflecting on the most important peeps and places that rocked my 2011… it’s a year in review… literally.) Casia and Eric Fletcher of PNS(hee hee) not only know what they’re doing, but they’re great people too. I met them through the ladies of MAST and instantly fell in love after browsing their website. After an email, I had an initial consultation with Casia in which we talked about Unilocal, what it means to be part of a Unilocal event, and whether or not she’d be interested. After speaking to Eric, her hubby and partner in crime, they were a go! I had a feeling on the phone that they were going to be a great add to a cool event, and meeting them in person a week before the shin dig solidified that. They were thoughtful, asked great questions, and didn’t mind when I explained to them the vintage theme I was looking for in a photobooth, even though their work is pretty modern– they were certain they could incorporate the feel for the evening with their aesthetic. The day before the event Eric and Casia sent me a few shots from their studio, mockups if you will, and asked me what I thought of the border they created and the overall feel of the pics. I have had some great photographers join me at events in 2011, but this was the first time I got a little pre-show, and I appreciated the sneak peek! The night of, the two of them did more than point and shoot. They worked the crowd, captured hilarious stills and left Unilocal Tucson with great memories. There was a lot going on last night, and at one point I thought, «You know what? Santa has reindeer, Mrs. Clause and a host of elves to make holiday magic, but I just had Eric and Casia, yet everyone left feeling warm and fuzzy! Sometimes it doesn’t take an army, sometimes it just takes great photographers.(And hopefully we’ll work together again… hint, hint). See their work from the event here .
