From start to finish this hotel was a nightmare. First I reserved a room with two queen size beds, was told«thats just a suggestion» so got a King Size and a pull out. Was told to go in a «gate» to get to my room, I felt like I was going into some prison when I entered. The court yard area is nice but everywhere you look empty areas, and empty conference rooms gives you the feel of a ghost town. Entered my room, it had glass brick that you couldn’t cover to keep the light out. The room was«Ok» but the furniture was lacking, and worn. Walking in to the king room I found myself with a sleep number. This was great I thought, until you slept on it. Every 5 minutes it was pumping up, or deflating. Between 5 and 35 is where you normally where and not at the same time for both halves. Water leaking from the ceiling told front desk, but never saw anyone. Breakfast, well good thing its free, but it was horrible. The staff was friendly in the breakfast, but the food, I am not sure even if I would feed it to my pets. The bar was great, the bartender(although he was a Bears fan and went against my Packers in the game) he was great. Spent two nights talking with him as we watched sports after the long days of soccer. The other staff in the restaurant were lost, they didn’t expect a rush however they knew the hotel was full with the soccer tournament, so they would turn people away rather than seat you. Checking out was fun, didn’t work on the TV, shocker nothing else worked. Went to the front desk, and the gal asked me how my stay was, told her about the bed, and the stay, got«nice to know» and then given a receipt and told to have a great day. The staff here at least everyone but the bartend are just going through the paces. They don’t care, and it shows. Rust is every where, the place is falling apart. I wanted to like this place but I couldn’t, every time I turned around I was disappointed. A bed that doesn’t work, water leaking from the ceiling, bad service, and yet you get nice to know have a great day. I wish I could dispute the charge on my credit card it was so bad!

My son is over at U of A so we try the hotels in the area. People who post on this review site need to understand ONETHING in the hotel business. YOUPAYFORWHATYOUGET. I got this reservation on Priceline and for what I paid, I got a suite. YA, It isn’t the newest and shiniest hotel in Tucson but it really was a nice place overall. Things are generally clean. We had traditional Thanksgiving dinner here and it was killer all the way — with all the trimmings and the service to go along with it. I go to Waffle House in the morning because we don’t have them here and I love the entertainment value from the black employees at Waffle House so I missed their breakfast but others were telling me what an awesome buffet they had. Our room was two rooms and two TV’s and one of the rooms has a converter bed which my son used staying over from the college. I wasn’t looking for the Ritz Carlton in my accomidations but we actually stayed an extra night because of the service here. I was pleasantly surprised at the service I received and everything was charged as it was supposed to on the final billing. I will certainly stay there again when I visit Tucson

A lot of little things kept this place from being really good. In and of themselves not a big deal but combined they were. Exposed pipes outside our door(probably could’ve been covered), a less than powerful toilet(taking two flushes sometimes to get everything down), a stain in the tub that I first thought was a chunk of soap but turned out to be part of the finish bubbling a bit, poor paint job in areas and a tough nights sleep on what was actually a nice sleep number bed. Oh. And the direct TV lost the satellite signal and went down for about 5 – 10 min. Still. The room was good, the price was good, the hotel layout with the courtyard and pool was good and the restaurant was good.

Not really my type of place. The outdoor courtyard thing. However our room was ok. They said it was a refurbished one. There was an issue with the power and it was resolved within minutes. The gym is a bit limited, lots of the weights were missing and there’s no elliptical machine. The bar guy was awesome. Can’t remember his name, he’s from Iraq and a real nice guy. Even though the bar was pretty much empty on a Saturday night, he made us feel welcome. They’ve got moose drool on tap which id recommend. Tasty stuff! Their koby sliders were also good. Rating of 3 stars due to the room and courtyard being quite dated. The staff made up for it though. Oh BTW, there must have been some German guests. They put their beach towels on the chairs in the cabanas at first light and are nowhere to be seen. Come on guys I thought you only did that in Tenerife :)
