Lazy staff and horrible wait times. I waited for more than 2 hours to see the doctor. I had my file faxed over and they lost that. They also stated when I called in to see me that they didn’t have me on file even though I saw them 2 years prior. They spent over 30 mins trying to find my file which the misplaced

We went to Retina Centers to see Dr. Hudson and get a second opinion when it was discovered during a routine eye exam that my fiancé had a macular pucker (epiretinal membrane).
They were able to fit him in their schedule a week from when we called.
The lobby is very nice with all three doctors’ credentials on the wall for people to review (along with their pictures, which is nice for reference). I also noticed that the doctors would come into the lobby and chat with the staff and interact with patients as well, which I thought was really nice to see. We’ve been to other retina places where the Doctors treat their staff with respect and are genuine with them– they do not act superior or standoffish at all.
They allowed me to accompany my fiancé during the standard tests, etc and we were seen promptly by Dr. Hudson. His diagnosis: he needed to have surgery, so we scheduled it and Dr. Hudson was amazing (surgery was done at St. Joe’s). He used a new technology that included microincisions and my fiancé was in virtually no pain from the minute he walked out of the hospital. Dr. Hudson was also very nice to me during this time too– allowing me to ask questions about post-​op care, giving me the stuff to take care of my fiancé, etc. He involves everyone, not just the patient themselves.
It’s now been one week post-​op and my fiancé is doing really well and he has vision improvement beyond what they expected at this point in time– very encouraging.
Dr. Hudson is confident in his abilities as a doctor, opthamologist and a surgereon and isn’t afraid to tell you that he does this procedure more than anyone else in Tucson.
There’s no doubt in my mind that we made the right decision to go with Retina Centers for this procedure. If we ever have future eye issues that require a retina specialist, we will most definitely be going here.
