On a Thursday night, they weren’t busy at all and they couldn’t even take my order after 20 minutes of waiting. So I don’t know how their food tastes because I just gave up on them.

Sooo bad! The lady at the window was really nice. The guy working seemed like he wanted to be anywhere but there. The food was so bad that I can’t stop thinking about how bad it was. My girlfriend and I ordered a burrito, a hot dog and french fries. We were not expecting to be wowed but damn! The tortilla was dry and falling apart, the hot dog was dry and bland and the fries were both hard and soggy. If you’re going to be open, do the damn thing. If not, close shop and save people the terrible experience of horrible food.

it was not service with a smile but service with a confused grimmace. I was asked on 3 seperate occasions over 40 minutes by the guy at the window what I had ordered(a sonoran hot dog and a sonoran burrito) when my food finally did come(around the 45 minute mark from when I ordered) it was abysmal. the hot dog was cold, the bun soggy, the toppings sub par, and for the price, extremely small. the sonoran burrito instead was just a carne asada burrito; all the stuff that was supposed to go in the burrito was stuffed into little condiment cups for me to assemble myself. really? its bad enough that they charge 6 dollars for something the size of a dollar burrito from taco bell but I have to unravel my burrito and put it together myself? with no table in sight, I sighed, tossed the condiment cups in the trash, and ate my heavily overpriced burrito. At least the carne asada wasnt bad. super greasy, and overcooked, but not bad. I might have caught them on a bad night, but honestly I will never eat here again. if it had only been one thing wrong it would have been bad but understandable, but all of them together is just unacceptable.

After a long night of studying on fourth ave its easy to work up quite the appetite. Sure you can always have a slice of the pizza pie but if your looking for something else this might hit the spot. Awesome hot dogs! Sonoran Dog were great and cheap! Might possibly be the best one in town(or maybe it’s just the hour they were eaten) Great way to end a night on Fourth Ave.

I was riding my bike down 4th Avenue and the smell of whole pinto beans and bacon took hold of me. I look to left and see Robdogs. I try the Sonoran, no bun. The grilled onions and fresh whole beans really made this for me. It was not the best I had ever had, but it was pretty damn delicious. I’ll take a $ 3 lunch any day of the week. (The sad thing is that I was on my way to Co-op for a Salad.)

The guy behind the window claimed that Robdogs serves the best Sonoran dogs in town. Alas, as someone who has eaten a completely ridiculous number of Sonoran hot dogs, I have to say that this isn’t true. In fact, the Sonoran dogs at Robdogs are just about average, hamstrung by a higher than normal price($ 3 instead of the customary $ 2.50), overly-steamed and untoasted buns(a far cry from the crispy bolillo rolls that hold the best offerings), and an overall execution that is essentially indistinguishable from what one can acquire elsewhere. The good news, however, is that the Robdogs menu only gets better from there. Unlike most hotdog stands in town, Robdogs gives you a whole bunch of options to explore, so that people who are not inclined to eat YETANOTHER Sonoran dog can branch out with generous servings of caramelized onions, smokey barbecue sauce, and high-quality sauerkraut. Alternatively, a regular hot dog with the standard toppings will set you back only $ 1. Choices are fun, and so even though a lot of the hot dogs are relatively similar and none are astonishingly tasty(at least in my admittedly limited experience), Robdogs is worth visiting in a way that a lot of its competitors aren’t. I should point out that I’m still feeling out the menu, so I’ll update if I stumble across something that is particularly delicious.

Robdogs was the closest thing to a religious experience that I’ve ever encountered. As the drunken masses pile out of the bars of 4th avenue at 2am, you can hear its name reverberating through the streets. Never has a better hot dog been crafted by mortal hands. The tender, bacon-wrapped frank was no different than most hot dogs in most respects, in fact I can’t really tell you what sets it apart from any other food cart hot dog. But it’s different. Robdogs is clearly either built on an indian burial ground or operated by wizards, because there is powerful magic afoot there.

The location is wrong this is by Maloneys after the bars get out. Best place for late night food but during the day the hot dogs are better at more established places. GREAT staff fast service well priced. But don’t get fooled by the big menu there are only two dogs worth getting: the sonoran or the dollar hotdog. Brats were just ok for the price and the chicago wasn’t anywhere close to authentic. But the sonoran is the real deal authentic filling and very delicious.
