Rubios is consistent. Everywhere I’ve had it it’s the same quality of food. I enjoy their food. I love their salsa verde tacos. Prices are good and salsa is amazing. I love their fresh salsa bar. I’ve had their enchiladas and liked them. I love the bowls they have. If you’re lookong to stay away from the tortillas this is for you. Staff is always friendly. My favorite place to eat at the Park mall food court.

Street tacos not bad, three tacos, refried beans and chips for $ 7… Salsa is fresh and a variety. My friend ordered the fish tacos for taco Tuesday and they were only $ 1.50 each.

I like going to Rubios. I remember a long time ago, I had gone there and had the white sauce on tacos, and hated it. I held that against them and did not go back until a few years ago when a friend had suggested trying their newer tacos. Since then I always get the Gourmet Grilled Chicken Tacos. These things are so good. Basically they take a corn tortilla, through it on a flat top with cheese so that the cheese cooks into the tortilla. After that, they add grilled chicken, onions, cilantro, avocado(that I don’t get to eat unfortunately), some mexican cheese, and their chipotle cream sauce and of course… bacon! I get the 1-taco plate which is more than enough to fill me up. It comes with chips and beans, and if you add a drink its about $ 7.50 total. Another thing I like about this chain is that they carry vanilla coke on tap. Love that stuff. Don’t forget to get an extra lime to juice over your taco and chips!

I have to say I LOVE their bean and cheese burrito. So flavorful and tasty. Their fish tacos are great and their veggie taco with that tasty sauce is marvelous. Never thought I’d be so enamored with a chain restaurant, but Rubo’s serves up good food at a good price.

It was different. I have never seen this chain before, but it seems nice. It’s different. The food was unlike any Mexican food I’ve ever had, however it was good. The Mexican rice was different but OK. I really liked the classic chicken tacos.

Always a big fan of Rubio’s and this location in the Park Place Mall is no different. The employees are always nice and they have the best fresh salsa. And lets not forget those Chocolate Brownies, YUMMM.

I am a huge fan of Rubios. When I lived in California we used to go there at least once a week and we were never dissapointed. I was so happy to find out that they were around in Arizona when I moved here. I wish there were more around Tucson, but I will take what I can get. I wish it wasn’t placed in a mall food court, but I still go there as often as I can. The nachos are awesome, and the street tacos are soooo good! Rubios all the way!

This particular Rubio’s is in the Park Place Mall food court, so ambiance is not considered in this review, only the food. What I had: Two fish taco meal and a carne asada taco — hey I was hungry. One of things that make a great fish taco(IMO) is a nice, thick, crunchy piece of fish. The fish was not crunchy. As a matter of fact, I opened up the taco to see if they had given me grilled fish. It was indeed fried fish, but had gotten soggy. The carne asada was decent. The beans were bland. They offer a salsa bar with other accompaniments like limes, cilantro and jalapeños. Some of the salsa kind of has the consistency of catsup. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t taste like catsup, it just has that texture. I tend to believe it is made somewhere like New York City and shipped to Rubio’s en masse.

Unless you’re a Mexican lady that’s been cooking for years and years, there’s no such thing as good, authentic Mexican«fast» food. Don’t believe me? Come over to my house right this instant and you’ll see two pots on the stove. Beans and carne deshebrada. Both have been boiling for a couple of hours now in preparation for dinner tonight. Good Mexican food = long time for prep. Anyway, I digress. We were in the area and sort of wanted something but weren’t exactly sure what. That’s the perfect time for nachos. Since, technically, they’re not Mexican food, I agreed to try Rubio’s. They were good, I mean as far as nachos go. Plus more importantly, they passed the«don’t upset my stomach» test. I’m not sure if I’d go back but I didn’t regret going. Oh, and just in case you’re wondering, it’s gorditas, sopa de arroz and frijoles con quesito for dinner at Casa Yvett today. Gustas?
