Ok not only is the chocolate to-die-for-amazing, the staff is too! My husband is stationed out of California and we were separated for Valentines Day this year, it happens. But he didn’t send me anything, which I wasn’t mad about, because you know, we’ve been married 6 years, I need more than a card once a year ;) So February 15th, I get a call from him to go to Sabino Artisan Chocolates in Oro Valley because there is a surprise for me there. When I get there, I’m greeted by the smell of amazing chocolate, and I realize that they make the chocolate RIGHTTHERE. It gets better. I’m not sure what her name was, or if she was the owner, but a really pleasant women came out from the back area where they make the chocolate treats, and greeted me. I told her my husband had told me to come here for a surprise and she knew exactly who I was and why I was there. She not only had the beautiful box of chocolates wrapped up in gift paper, but she then asked me if I preferred milk or dark chocolate, and added ANOTHER box of valentines day chocolates into the package, and thanked me for my husbands service. I thought I would cry. But wait! There’s more! I had my 3 year old son with me, she asked how many children we had, and then added 2 chocolate dipped marshmallow pops for him :) You can’t ask for better service and the you just can’t find better chocolate! If you’re looking for something special, you have to give this place a try. It’s better than any of the other chocolate places I’ve tried. And I’ve tried a lot!

If you really enjoy quality chocolate and are willing to pay the price for the quality, do not miss this elegant little shop. We have a fav candy company back home and order from them every holiday season, One of our first questions to the owner of Sabino Artisan was Do you ship??? Ms Trinque is a lovely person and a joy to talk with. We loved everything we bought and will be taking friends coming in from out of town there later this coming week. This is a real find for a true devotee of quality and elegance in chocolates.

All I can say is «Wow.» The chocolates here are amazing! Smooth, creamy, packed with flavor. And so beautiful… the colors are so vibrant. A great place to buy something for that special someone. They have fudge too! Truly one of those special gems, you can only find in Oro Valley. And the owner, Dianne, is a sweetheart!

The term«sweet spot» can have more than one meaning, such as the place on a Louisville Slugger where it connects with a fast ball, or perhaps the place on the neck of a loved one that you like to plant a kiss on now and then. Today, however I’m trumpeting to the world about Oro Valley’s very own«Sweet Spot!» I just stopped by Sabino Artisan Chocolates located at 10110 N Oracle Road, Suite 140. Oro Valley, AZ. The hours: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays or by appointment. Words like«creamy,» «dreamy,» «luscious,» and«world class» all come to mind, because they describe the chocolaty confections displayed like the true gems they are behind spotless glass display cases in this inviting shop. I purchased a variety of items to get a good feel for their offerings. I bought two kinds of fudge; Dulce De Leche, and Raspberry Chocolate. Next into the box went two kinds of Bonbons: Dark Mint Tea, and Dark Mint Passion Fruit. And last but not least, chocolate covered pretzels-(covered with an artful drizzle of both white and dark-these unfortunately didn’t make it home-I ate them all on the way, ’cause one was DEFINITELY not enough.) The small sampling of treats will be happily shared with family and friends. Oops. Almost forgot one item. The words to describe THOSE little taste treats are«cloud-like little bites of Heaven.» What could THESE be? Brace yourself… hand-made marshmallows! You read that right. Can’t you just envision them gracing a Thai Tea, or the ultimate S’Mores? Okay. I’m drooling again. Please visit this great place ASAP and meet the friendly owner, Dianne Trinque. She clearly loves what she does as she molds chocolates made from her own recipes in her on-site kitchen, making a colorful array of bonbons, fudges and other yummy items. I’m impressed and I think you will be too!
